'Good hotel, good location, although all the outside restaurants are a 15 minute walk away. Had dinner twice at the hotel restaurant, which was good. Parking is in a public parking place 5 minutes away; hotel guests pay half the normal price: 8 GBP a day. Nice and helpful staff. Room was not very large but OK although the airco caused an unpleasant draught and had to be switched off when I was in the room. My main gripe is the wifi connection in the room which runs (if it runs at all) at 0.16...

'A very well.appointed cottage in a brilliant location in the heart of Wooler. Everything was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. The owner was always very responsive when we had any queries. All the main attractions in Northumberland are easily accessible from Wooler so it's a brilliant place to stay to explore this beautiful county. I can highly recommend this lovely property.'

'The staff at The Bear Inn are terrific: it’s a family-run business and nothing was too much trouble. You soon will get to know everyone’s name a they will remember yours; it’s the little things that set a small country Inn apart from the bigger and soulless enterprises. 'het hotel staat net aan de verkeerde kant van het station. Als je de stad in wilt moet je eerst een stuk lopen. Je moet overigens door de poortjes van het station anders moet je helemaal omlopen. Het ontbijt is zeker niet bijzonder voor de prijs (10 pond p.p.), het werd karig aangevuld en de dame van het hotel had de tafel al afgehaald toen we nog een ronde brood gingen halen. English breakfast is niet zo goed (er ligt weinig), continental breakfast is nog kariger. Je kunt beter je ontbijt...
