« Okay, it's nice enough for hiking and it's clean with a good view. Unfortunately, there is no blow dryer and the communication with the staff is hit or miss. I asked for a 3rd for room with my reservation, but the hotel owners said second floor would be better. Well, you can hear everything from the people above (stomping around and yelling). The area was hit hard from Helene...a lot lf trails still closed and not much for restaurant options in downtown Spruce Pine as they're still recovering. »

« Très petite chambre remplie d’objets vintage inutiles. Pas de télécommande de tv , chauffage très bruyant se déclanchant régulièrement, pas de chauffage ni de ventilation dans la salle de bien très ancienne. »

« Beautiful historic inn by the river. Close to downtown Damascus. We were able to walk to our bike shuttle to get on the creeper. Nice restaurants within walking distance and the hotel in the restaurant was really good. Loved our room and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. The lady in charge of breakfast is a gem. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. You will love this place! »

« It was self check in, so we didn't see any staff until the next morning. We were the only ones there and pretty much had the run of the place. Beautifully furnished. There was no one else there, but we still wound up on the third floor and had to drag our suitcases up. »
