« The place is lovely, and the cottage was very charming, but I felt like the place needed a better clean, especially considering the price. The drying rack in the kitchen had a grime build-up, and the shower floor was quite grubby. I also noticed some hair on the floor under one of the beds, and the vase was hiding an ant family that came out during the night. « The location is outstanding with a fabulous aspect to the pure white beach and mountains beyond. The staff were brilliant and the food was lovely. The only negative comment I would make would be that the property needs a little bit of TLC in the bathrooms - need updating / refurbishing which would then very much justify a 5 star rating. »

« Beautiful setting. Great and spacious bedroom and bathroom suite. Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful gardens which were quiet. At present their restaurant and spa are closed which was disappointing. I would recommend having a car to stay here as it isn’t possible to walk anywhere and it is c30 minutes in a taxi to Cape Town and 15 minutes to Hout bay. We had expected to be able to eat in the hotel. »

« On top of being an exceptionally beautiful and well serviced hotel, the hotel also attracts the locals which creates a very nice vibe in the restaurants. The staff was amazingly kind to our little son too. I highly recommend this place to anyone willing to discover Cape Town and the surroundings, far away from the busy streets, and reasonable driving distance to everything. »
