The proximity to the Excel Center was ideal, which was a major plus for our stay. However, we had significant issues with our room. The air conditioning did not work, and due to the humidity, the carpet felt damp. Maintenance attempted to fix the issue twice on our first night, and while we appreciated them eventually bringing a fan, the air conditioning still wasn’t working properly.
The next day, I requested to switch rooms, but was not offered an equivalent room to the one we originally booked. I was told the hotel was sold out, yet I was able to find availability for similar rooms online. By that point, we had already moved and didn't want to spend more of our weekend dealing with the front desk.
While we appreciated the location, the handling of the room issue and lack of transparency around availability were disappointing.
