'Stayed for two weeks in September 2023. For starters, the host family at Talalla Freedom are wonderful. Helpful, friendly, adjusted to my food allergies, went over and beyond. Rs 250 for a pot of fresh tea. The pool is lovely and well kept, the view and access to Talalla beach is phenomenal (as long as you don't have any mobility issues. Beds are Sri Lanka firm but comfy. 'The place is difficult to find, after booking they should send an email with a map to get there. The room is basic but clean. Good size room and bathroom. There is a fan but not a/c and during the night it is quite hot. Only cold water. There is a mosquito net but it is too short so mosquitoes get in the sleeping area. Basic breakfast with bread, jam, bananas and tea. They could provide sri Lankan breakfast if requested. It is possible to use a sort of sun bed provided at the first...

'It was a lovely place with very nice hosts and a nice clean room with a comfy bed. It is close to the beach and is located in the city, but away from the noisy road. The welcome drink is delicious, as well as the food they serve ☺️'
