Snowed In
Our trip was snow-stoppingly amazing from start to finish! I reached out to the owner about an early check-in since snow was forecasted, and they were so fantastic, they let us come an extra day early, free of charge, so we could arrive safely before the Friday morning flurries. Talk about snowcial responsibility!The amenities? Incredible! The hot tub was perfectly toasty, and the rooms and beds were more than big enough for our group of sixâtwo adults and four teens (ages 12 and 13). We even met the neighbor, whoâs clearly a snow angel in disguise. He plowed a sledding trail right in his backyard and lent us several sleds so the kids could zoom down the hill all afternoon. Snow joke, they had the time of their lives!When checkout morning arrived, I hit a little blizzard of troubleâmy car (not AWD or 4-wheel drive like my husbandâs) refused to budge in the snow. I emailed the owner, and they were as cool as iceâtotally fine with me staying put until conditions improved. To top it off, the cleaners came to help! Ron, one of the cleaners, and I shoveled a small path, and after a couple of hours, I was finally on my way home.This trip wasnât just a getaway; it was a heartwarming reminder of how wonderful people can be. The owners, locals, and even Mother Nature (well, mostly) made it a snow-mazing experience. Highly recommend this placeâit's worth every flake and shovel!
