'Plenty and easy parking. When I entered the bar, I was confronted with Theakstone's on draught, real ale, which is one of my all time favourites (only temporarily available) so I knew that my stay was going to be excellent. Nice food, very friendly staff and nice breakfast. It was my first stay, but hopefully not my last. My routing when travelling in the UK varies, but I hope I can include the Forest Lodge in my future travel plans. It would be worth driving a bit extra to arrive here. '

'This was our second time at this location. It’s a Lovely place to stay with Dog friendly rooms. Breakfast and evening meal were great. Staff very friendly and accommodating Definitely go back & would recommend too.'

'This hotel met the the main criteria I have for being a good hotel. Fast WiFi, a hot powerful shower, and a good cooked breakfast. I also liked the decor of the bedroom, and how friendly the staff were. I'd happily stay here again.'

'Lovely hospitality. Excellent food. Best duvet nice and warm duvet I have had when traveling. They go above and beyond to accommodate guests. Perfect get away for some quiet time in a traditional old pub in a small village walking distance from the train station. Right next to multiple hiking paths to famous hill tops.'

'Lovely hotel, utterly delightful rooms! Yes the curtians need replacing as other people have said, but it's almost in keeping with a 600 year old building. Food was OK but not special. Tutbury is pleasant and the castle is worth seeing! All in all a very pleasant stay and will go back.'

'Lovely accommodation above a local inn with very nice restaurant. Room was beautifully presented with both bath and shower room and bed was very comfortable. Food is served in a great restaurant, being part of the pub and clearly a favourite with locals. The menu was excellent with fish and meat courses and breakfast was equally as good. Very friendly staff, good food and wonderful room. The perfect combination! Highly recommended and would definitely stay again. '
