'Beautiful setting, but disappointing service for a 4-star hotel. The hotel has a beautiful location, a stunning view over western Sicily and pleasant facilities. Unfortunately, the overall experience was far below what we expected from a 4-star property. We were told at reception that the tap water was not drinkable, but there was no clear warning in the bathroom or near the tap. When we asked for free drinking water, we were told the only options were paid bottles from the minibar or...

'Le Arcate is a very welcoming entity just off the beaten tracks. It provides space, attention when needed, a very nice outside yard including a large swimming pool. The service is excellent, the food delicious. The location ensures a quiet, peaceful experience.'

'Pros: The resort is beautiful and the employees are amazing! Incredibly friendly and always smiling, also providing nice suggestions. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished. Cons: The private beach is a nice touch, but it doesn’t look nor feel like the beach of a five star resort. It’s good to rent a car if you wish to explore the surroundings, as the nearest city is 10 minutes by car (or hotel shuttle, for which you need a reservation). '

'we were pretty much the only guests. Very nice hotel, room fine, food was less, as we were pretty much the only guests, breakfast was not always fresh and less choices. All staff were friendly and very helpful. A bit boring such an empty hotel, though.'
