  • Each year in Macon, GA a festival bringing people in from surrounding area pops up for a week in early spring. The cherry blossom festival is a festival that most people have heard of, for I'm sure you have one near you. The one in Macon lasts a week an has carnival rides, strong man competitions, dog trick shows, mattress races, and many many more fun things to do all week. On the first Saturday of the festival a unique event happens that brings tens of thousands to just sit and watch. The balloon glow. Hot air balloons come in from all around and set up in the fields outside Macon state college. During the afternoon and into the evening you are able to pay $10 and go up for a short ride that will briefly give you the experience of a hot air balloon ride. But at night, that is when things light up. With a live band on stage these balloons light up the night sky as they rise and fall through the air. With over 20 balloons it is beautiful when they all go off at the same time. People cheer, horns blow, bands play, and everyone has a great time as these balloons shows each year.

We rented this house for a weekend w friends, a concert and visiting the Allman Brothers sites, and it was just what we needed. The location is peaceful, a large deck to watch the birds on the water. The inside was comfortable, bright and very clean. I would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing Get-Away

We loved the house. The kitchen was beautiful and spacious and we loved the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the deck and lake. The deck and backyard were fabulous! The lake, wooded area across the lake, and the surrounding mature trees were brimming with so many species of birds. In the early morning they sounded like a symphony. Next time we plan to stay longer.

Wedding in Macon

We traveled with daughter, my son and his wife and 18 month old triplet grandchildren. This home was perfect for us! Very clean and roomy lots of area for the kids to play inside, great neighborhood, easy in and out of the gated area. Communication with the owner and manager was wonderful. This is a lovely remodeled home located in a large subdivision. The owners have made the home feel as if it is a retreat, with a high privacy fence. The kitchen with large floor to ceiling windows overlooking the lake make this a rare find.

We were looking for a pet friendly place that was close to our other family members property. This place was perfect. It was exactly as described, very clean and the location was excellent. Get ready to sweat then get burned in shower

I wasnt going to leave this reciew as i gave the owners/managers ample time to make it right. But alas, they have not. We booked this place for my wedding weekend. The temperature range for the weekend was 100ยฐ-105ยฐ and heres the kicker, the AC wasnt strong enough to cool the house down during the day. We were literally sweating all day, every day of the trip. Also, the showers are broken(plumbing issue), where the water will be scorching hot and you try to adjust it and youll be standing there freezing waiting for it to get scorching again. This is every single shower. At night the house cooled down, but we're not here to talk about the bare minimum of my expectations. I reached out to them to let them know, all they said was this was "news to them about the water"... and didnt say anything about AC.. which BTW, my mother in law looked at reviews after our trip and read aallllll about it on there. So someones not telling the truth. They are continuing to rent this place out as if there arent any issues. They sent an AC tech out at 9:30pm our last night.. gee, thanks. They said they would give me $150 back from a $1400 booking, all of which i was sweating like a pig during the day. I have pics of AC holding steady at 85ยฐ ALL DAY. The $150 was honestly a slap in the face anyways and they NEVER EVEN DID THAT. I hope this helps the next family who wants to actually enjoy their vacation.

The property sits on a cove with Geese,ducts and other wildlife.wonderful back deck with fantastic seating.House seems to be completely remolded and very comfortable .I would stay there again.
