CASA BLANDINA, established in 1895, was completely and lovingly renovated in 2023/ 2024, and is set within the stunning tropical paradise, of the CASA VIEJA VILLA property! CASA BLANDINA, the original residence on the property, is located on the southern Baja of Mexico. This charming property is one of oldest, historic properties in Los Barriles, and with all the improvements at CASA VIEJA VILLA and CASA BLANDINA, this lovely paradise still retains its authentic Mexican charm!
 
CASA BLANDINA, the property and these magical gardens are walled and gated, so you’ll feel like you’re in your own private sanctuary. However, you’re a mere two-minute walk, to the beautiful white sand beaches of Playa Los Barriles and warm waters of the Sea of Cortez. It’ s also conveniently just steps away from local restaurants, markets, grocery stores, tourist shops, produce stands, amenities, bars, activity rentals and much more. The vast beach at Los Barriles offers stunning views, a place to relax, swim, kite sail, fish and paddle board!



 
This extraordinary property features all updated amenities yet maintains its genuine Mexican appeal! ABOUT THE CASA:
 
CASA BLANDINA is unique in that it was the original homestead for the family that resided there. Although it is now completely remodeled, many of the original architectural elements and details  were lovingly retained!  Some features include parts of the original bricked walls, Saltillo tile floor, palapa roof, charming glass, French patio doors, original painted vignettes on the kitchen walls, artwork and furniture.

 CASA BLANDINA which consists of two separate buildings, is modern, elegant, and spacious enough to comfortably accommodate eight guests. The main sleeping building offers 2 separate king bedrooms and one queen sleeper sofa. ***The other building, a few steps across a garden path, has a charming sitting room with another queen sleeper sofa along with a full kitchen and dining room. It is attractively furnished, featuring custom handmade bedroom furniture by Mexican artisans, and all the amenities you will ever need!

 CASA BLANDINA’s “sleeping building” has two master bedroom suites and a separate living room with large flat screen TV. The bedrooms have stunning hand-crafted Parota furniture, inlaid with carved leather and metal work accents. In each bedroom, you will enjoy luxury linens, down filled hypoallergenic comforter & pillows, pillow top mattresses, air conditioning and cooling ceiling fans! Custom built-in Parota wood closets provide ample storage for your clothing, personal attire and gear. Within one of these king suites, is where you will find the queen sleeper sofa, perfect for family groups, small children or additional guests.
 
Both bedrooms have their own private bathrooms, with luxurious travertine walk in showers, granite counters and bright sunny skylights. Ample hotel quality towels and shower toiletries are provided for your convenience.
 
The front of CASA BLANDINA’s “sleeping building” has a gorgeous covered patio, where can relax in the shade, enjoy a beautiful view of the gardens, read, play games or enjoy a magarita!
 

You will enjoy being comfortable during Mexico’s hotter weather, with air conditioning and cooling ceiling fans located throughout the “sleeping buildings” bedrooms and outdoor patio. There is a stackable washer and dryer, detergent, and other laundry supplies, located within the “sleeping building” for your convenience.

CASA BLANDINA’S other building is fully equipped for all your dining, culinary and entertaining needs! It has brand-new, stainless-steel appliances, gorgeous Parota wood cabinetry, all the customary small appliances and is fully equipped with everything else you will need to prepare a delicious meal! The dining room which adjoins the kitchen, is full of Mexican charm with its palapa style roof, glass patio doors overlooking the gardens and the original dining table and chairs. This unique room is a delightful place to enjoy your meals and have fun making new memories with family and friends!

Also start your morning brew with both Nescafe and drip coffee machines. A light supply of coffee & tea is provided upon your arrival. There is a barbeque area just steps away for all your grilling needs. Enjoy dining outdoors on the nearby covered patios overlooking the lush tropical gardens!




 ABOUT THE PROPERTY & COMMON AREAS: CASA VIEJA VILLAS

This charming property is a botanical jewel! Mature palm and mango trees offer plenty of shade for you to relax and enjoy an afternoon siesta. Cactus, bougainvillea, and hibiscus encompass the original gardens along with all the newly landscaped areas, giving CASA VIEJA VILLA it’s lush tropical feel. Colorful flowers are always blooming and can be found throughout this garden paradise!

 THE POOL: Cool off in the spacious swimming pool and soak away your worries in the large hot tub! The hot tub will be heated between the hours of 7:00 am – 9:00 am and 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Other times can be arranged to suit your needs. A closer look at the pool and you will find delightful mosaic turtles inlaid at the bottom. The patios surrounding the pool have multiple loungers. Rest and enjoy the warm Mexican sunshine! Showers and restrooms are conveniently located next to the pool. There are also multiple other seating areas and tables located throughout CASA VIEJA VILLA for your use and enjoyment.

 BARBEQUE: A barbeque area is available for your use. Grill your latest catch or find from the local market. Or just hang out there enjoying your favorite beverage!

 THE PALAPA PAVILION: Relax and enjoy our brand new palapa style pavilion! Cool off in the shade, gather with friends or family and just hang out Mexican style!
