Charming Lakefront Retreat: Your Perfect Waterfront Getaway

  • Deze bungalow aan het water met een terras, een pier, een drijvend dok en een vuurplaats tegen betaalbare prijzen en vele voorzieningen, ligt op korte rijafstand van Winston-Salem, Greensboro en Salisbury en op slechts 49 minuten van Charlotte vanaf de I-85. Twee nachten minimum verblijf.

    De bungalow aan het water, bijgewerkt in 2016-17, is ingericht en klaar voor u en uw gasten. Of u ervoor kiest om het huis voor twee nachten, een week of een weekend te huren, u zult genieten van alle volgende voorzieningen:
    - 3 slaapkamers (1 queensize bed, 1 standaard en een stapelbed)
    - 1 badkamer met dubbele wastafel en een grote douche
    - slaapkamer van de eigenaar (koningin) met tv
    - TV (Roku met YouTube) dvd-speler
    - Volledige keuken met nieuwe apparatuur
    -Wifi / Internet
    -Grill

    The Lake: is in direct zicht op de voorkant van het huis. Er is een dek en een helling die naar de pier en het drijvende dok leidt. Boot lancering gebied is beschikbaar. Absoluut niet zwemmen op of van onroerend goed inclusief pier en drijvend dok.

    De buurt: dit is een privégemeenschap. De meeste aangrenzende huizen worden alleen seizoensgebonden gebruikt.

Wonderful place wonderful host. Stay was excellent. Highly recommend he will go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable. Property’s well maintained has everything you’ll need to relax and enjoy a vacation. The I’ll rent again. :)

The relaxing lake view was absolutely peaceful. Waking up each morning and sitting on the deck watching the sunrise was one of our favorite parts of the trip.The kids loved having the lake right there for fishing and swimming. Hearing them laugh, play, and simply enjoy being kids was exactly what we needed. Getting away from the hustle and bustle helped us recharge and make some wonderful family memories.The home itself had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The host went above and beyond anything we've experienced before, and we travel quite a bit. He called with detailed instructions before our arrival and checked in throughout the week to make sure everything was going well.We would definitely choose to stay here again if we're back in the area and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful lakeside getaway.

This cute place was just perfect! The Wifi was helpful for the few meetings I had to do and the house and community as a whole were very comforting. Mr. Alfred was wonderful in helping us settle in and explaining where everything was to get us started. A lovely way to spend some quiet time with family, thank you!

Quiet retreat on the lake.

We enjoyed the stay. Alfred was very welcoming upon arrival. Very quiet place to stay with all the amenities you need. Plenty of shade to enjoy sitting on the dock.

High Rock lake

We utilized this house for overflow sleeping for my family visiting us on High Rock lake. Alfred does a good job making sure everything is ok. Enjoys the stay .

Lake mist

Great place with beautiful view of the lake with a fire pit. Had a great time with my 50th college roommates. The kitchen was in perfect condition so bring food to cook.

A wonderful surprise!!

The property was exactly like it was described. Very peaceful setting. I got to meet the owner and he was a super nice guy, very accommodating to any special needs that we might of had. I would highly recommend this property and owner to anyone looking for a great getaway.

Beautiful view

Gorgeously remodeled home, with a home at grandmas feel! Deck is beautiful! The brim fishing from the dock was fun! Mr Alfred was so sweet and we def enjoyed the stay! We will be back for our future catfish tournaments!

Taylor made stay for the angler or water lover

Beautiful property on high rock Lake that was meticulously maintained and accommodating. Alfred made our stay over the top by his attentiveness and attention to our needs of any kind! The house was plenty ice and well equipped, and there was plenty of parking as well as additional parking offered. I would stay there again anytime and likely will book another weekend soon.

Great dockside house!

Nice little house right on the lake! The kitchen and bathroom were beautifully redone. We only used the owner bedroom, but the bed in there was very comfortable. The dock was amazing! We had some friends staying at Alfred's other house just up the road, and it was a super convenient walk. Alfred was very nice and easy to get ahold of if we had questions, but in no way intrusive (the perfect host!). I would note that the AC is not central, so when the temps got really high in the afternoon, the living room humidity got pretty high (though we didn't bother to set the unit lower than 74 as we spent more time out on the water and didn't feel the need to waste the electricity). Overall, a great spot! If we decide to visit High Rock Lake again, we'll try to book with Alfred for sure.

Dangerous Health Situation - Not sure how this ever got approved for VRBO

I have used VRBO several times, and have always been satisfied with the description being accurate for what we expected. However, this place had some issues that were just blatantly ignored by the owner. When you walked in you could tell the floors had not been swept much less cleaned. The living room furniture was old and like sitting on the floor. The blinds and window sills were noticeably dust covered. There was dust under the beds so no one had cleaned under the beds in a while. I don't think the owner uses a cleaning service but a thorough cleaning is definitely needed. There is a definitely a dangerous situation in the bedroom with twin beds. When were looking for a broom, we looked in that closet and that's where we found a possible health hazard situation. That closet had the hot water heater in it with a five gallon bucket attached. That bucket had dirty water in it and you could smell the mildew. We were scared that the air conditioner "on the floor" was full of mold too. And, on the wall beside one of the twin beds were "literally" two outdoor covers that you might see on faucets in the winter - just hanging on some types of pipes. This whole room was scary so we just closed the door and used the other rooms. But, the closet in the second bedroom smelled so bad and had a ton of junk in it so that closet was not useable. The third bedroom did not have a closet at all. The outside was okay - it could have used a good pressure cleaning. But the view from the living room and outside deck was of a house next door that the roof had fallen in on (obviously some time back) so that was really a "nice view". Parking - Our yard area where we parked had an SUV and a boat already parked in it so we had to squeeze in our two vehicles. I would be very leery of renting this house. There are obviously issues that the owner needs to address. Someone with breathing problems - this would be a very dangerous place for them to stay. Unfortunately, we had to tough it out, but never again. If we had to stay more than two nights, I would have abandoned this place and spent even more money to get a hotel room. Please don't put yourself in this same situation. Kind of scared me for using VRBO again.
