We're in the Alderson area a few times a year, so it was nice to find a rental with charm and in an easy to access location. Very clean, great communication with owner, Dave, comfortable beds, big kitchen was fully stocked and plenty of seating to dine, more than what we needed but will be great for a larger party. It was our first trip with our son, his wife and their 9 month old baby and they also loved the property. I am handicapped, so having a downstairs bedroom and bath with walk-in shower was really helpful. We didn't know if the fireplace was functional. Didn't see any instructions but it wasn't cold enough to need it, either. Just mentioning it so Dave can know that a note about the fireplace would be helpful. Good instructions about dealing with the trash. Appreciated the clothes basket to leave towels in. Also appreciated the note about the trick-or-treaters to expect since we were there for Halloween. We don't get them where we live so a quick trip to the Family Dollar store around the corner to get candy allowed us to join the festivities. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return!
