'Een onverwachts prachtig comfortabel hotel in het historische centrum Om de hoek van de mooie cathedral ligt dit hotel vlakbij veel goede restaurants. De kamers waren modern en comfortabel en het ontbijt was heerlijk. Ik zou niet langer zoeken maar hier verblijven.'

'A wonderful — and very beautiful — boutique hotel with kind and very efficient staff. They spoke English expertly and were eager to help in any way needed. The breakfasts provided were delicious! The hotel is a short walk to the major tourist and shopping sites. I would definitely stay here again on future visits to Oaxaca!'

'Excellent hotel, especially for the price point. The hotel entrance itself is quite discreet, making it hard to initially find but it adds to the feeling of security and privacy. There is a fridge stocked with water that is always welcome on warm days, a terrace with some plants and a decent view. 'Highly recommend staying at Casa Sofi for your trip to Oaxaca. Excellent host that greeted us with the best tasting Mezcal. The room is very comfortable and the property is centrally located to everything. The grounds itself is very clean and safe. There is a communal kitchen that has everything to prepare a meal or store your leftovers in the refrigerator. Can’t wait to go back. '

'The hotel is wonderful, however what is equally as wonderful if not more is the staff. They are so kind and attentive to each guest and a great resource for anything that you might need. All the small little things make this a place to remember, the small studio space to read a book, draw or relax, the roof top patio with the circular staircase that is illuminated by candlelight, the DIY French press coffee bar, the filtered water that is located on the courtyard to fill your water bottle...

"I paid for a room with 2 double beds, but received a room with 1 double bed and 1 single bed. When I told this to the reception they first did not want to help me at all, only after a discussion they told me they would change the room the next day. I did not receive any refund or apology for getting a 3 person room while paying for a 4 person room. Furthermore, the view from the windows of the room was a wall.. No sunlight entered the room. Very very bad customer service. Some staff were very friendly, but a few receptionists ruined it with their bad attitude."
