The shaded patio offers a comfortable gathering place throughout the day, with a gas BBQ and dining table for six that make outdoor meals an easy part of your stay. There's room to stretch out with the provided yoga mats, practice beneath the morning sky, or bring a little friendly competition to the afternoon with a game of bocce.



When the desert air cools, the gas fire pit becomes an inviting place to gather. With minimal development in the surrounding landscape, the property's 360-degree views make the transition from daylight to evening especially beautiful.

Sunlight fills the main living space through oversized windows and sliding glass doors that frame the surrounding desert. The room pairs modern simplicity with the warmth of Moroccan design, from richly colored vintage-style rugs and patterned floor cushions to textured furnishings and artwork.



A comfortable leather sofa anchors the seating area, creating a relaxed setting for conversation, reading, or unwinding after exploring Joshua Tree. Sonos speakers, books, and board games offer easy entertainment, while the open layout keeps everyone connected to the kitchen and outdoor patio.



For guests mixing a little work with their getaway, Starlink Wi-Fi and desk space make it possible to stay connected without sacrificing the peaceful surroundings.



-Kitchen and Dining-

Warm wood cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and a large picture window overlooking the desert give the kitchen a clean, understated feel. It's thoughtfully stocked with quality cookware, cooking essentials, spices, and olive oil, making it equally suited to a simple breakfast or a full dinner prepared together.



Start your day with coffee from the drip machine or French press, with coffee, tea, sugar, and creamer provided. The open layout makes it easy to move between cooking and conversation, while the indoor dining area and covered outdoor table provide inviting places to share meals.



On pleasant evenings, fire up the gas BBQ and enjoy dinner outside with views of the pool and surrounding desert.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

The Refuge features two thoughtfully furnished bedrooms, each with a queen bed, Moroccan rugs, distinctive artwork, and sliding glass doors opening directly onto the backyard. Natural light and clean, simple interiors create a restful atmosphere, with easy access to the outdoors whenever you want a moment of fresh desert air.



Both bedrooms include a Samsung smart TV, essential oil diffuser, and humidifier for added comfort.



The primary bedroom features a private ensuite bathroom, while the second bedroom has access to an additional full bathroom. Both bathrooms are finished with striking black tile, glass-enclosed showers, and rainfall showerheads, bringing a refined, contemporary touch to the home's relaxed desert aesthetic.



-Surrounding Area-

When you're ready to leave the acreage, the Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Art Museum, downtown Joshua Tree, the Transmission sculpture by Daniel Popper and the Integratron all make good outings, and the West Entrance to Joshua Tree National Park opens onto the boulders and Joshua trees the area is known for. Plan to be back for the fire pit.

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.



The locked supply closets are in the carport.

The Refuge is in North Joshua Tree, about 10 minutes from downtown. All homes in this area are on acreage, giving guests wide open space and privacy.
