  • Beautiful 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom cabin. Steelhead Lodge #2 is just over 2000 sq. ft., new construction (finished spring 2016), 2 story tongue and groove walls, knotty alder cabinets, propane floor to ceiling fireplace, vaulted ceiling, large soaking tub in master bath, spacious fully equipped kitchen with new appliances, BBQ grill, fire pit all located in a quite remote neighborhood. Located in the heart of Island Park. East of Elk Creek Gas Station. Minutes away from ATV trails for summer and snow machine trails for winter, world famous fly fishing. A close 30 minute drive to the west entrance of Yellowstone Ntl. Park, 80 miles from Big Sky MT and Jackson Hole, WY. This cabin is perfect for the avid outdoorsman but cozy enough you will never want to leave.

Everything we had hoped for!

The place was fantastic and in a quiet area to just enjoy nature. Our family loved it and the location was close to trails for riding. We will be staying again in the near future.

Quiet, cozy and convenient!

I stayed here with 3 kids during our visit to Yellowstone. The house was nice, clean and quiet. Convenient location for everything you need. It was about a 30m drive to the west entrance of Yellowstone, plenty of distance from the crowds in a nice town. I'd be happy to stay here again!

Very nice Cabin close to the park entrance.

The cabin was tucked away in the woods. It is very spacious, clean, and comfortable. It is about a 30 minute drive to the west entrance of Yellowstone. Joey was very helpful and responded to me very quickly. I would definitely stay again.

Amazing place

This is truly an amazing place. Such a beautiful home in a great setting. Close enough to Yellowstone but rural enough for peace and tranquility. So nice to have some staple type supplies available in the cupboards (needed a small amount of flour to thicken soup), so as to not have to go into the grocery store. Ample space to allow everyone private alone time in the cabin. If ever in the area again, I would for certain stay here again.

Wonderful Stay!

We used this cabin as our home base for our week long visit to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. It is about half an hour from the West Yellowstone entrance and just shy of two hours from the Tetons. The cabin was fully stocked and had everything that we needed (and then some)! Our family of 10 (6 adults and 4 children) had plenty of room to spread out and unwind after long days exploring. I loved that there were three bathrooms (with showers), too!

Amazing Cabin & Location - Highly Recommend

This was our first trip to this area and we LOVED this cabin and location as “base camp” for a week visiting Yellowstone, Grand Tetons and Idaho/Montana. The cabin was beautiful, clean, had everything a family could need and offered ample space for a family of 6 (4 kids). We spent evenings hanging out in the spacious living room, but when people wanted to go to bed the four bedrooms offered privacy and comfortable bedroom space for everyone. Having 3 full bathrooms also made getting ready and showering much easier. The cabin offers privacy (tucked in the woods) but was also in the heart of Island Park and was close to state parks, UTV trails, lakes, nearby grocery stores and gas stations. It was an easy 30-35 minute drive to the West Yellowstone entrance and 2 hours to Grand Tetons; not having to pack up and move every few days (and the beautiful landscape during the drives) made this a perfect place to stay. Joey, the host, was so responsive and even went out of her way to help with a request I had. The cabin included paper products (TP, PT, paper plates, etc), garbage bags, shampoos and soaps and we added to the collection. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensil, dishes and pots/pans and spices, sugar, etc. I was able to use the Wi-Fi at the house to VPN for work & my kids used it to stream shows on their phones. Cell reception in the Island Park area is pretty good but in Yellowstone National Park and surrounding areas it was unavailable most of the time.

Beautiful cabin. Worked great for our family. We got lucky with the weather, it was actually pretty cool for mid June, so the cabin didn’t get too warm. It would be uncomfortable in the upper rooms though on a warm summer day. The kitchen was well stocked. Amenities were nice and new. Kids loved the dvd selection.

For a group of 5 travelers with 3 wanting their own rooms this was ideal! Having 3 bathrooms made getting ready in the morning a breeze. The sectional sofa was comfy and we enjoyed that they reclined. It was easy to find things in the kitchen and everything was in working order and well taken care of.

This modern cabin turned out to be the perfect place for our group to stay for our visit to Yellowstone NP. There is ample parking and the furnishings are superb. It has a full kitchen and there is a Sam Patch Co. grocery only minutes up the road. It is only 30 minutes to West Yellowstone if you want to support local eateries. Remember to bring mosquito repellent if you are visiting for the summer. The flats around the area make it somewhat of a mountain wetland and mosquitos were abundant in the evening.We will not hesitate to stay here again on the next trip to Yellowstone.

Perfect Place to Stay

Top reasons to stay at this cabin: -it’s clean and spacious -has all the amenities/items you need -Joey is very responsive, and gives easy instructions -30 min from Yellowstone -the price is hard to beat. Very affordable. Would definitely come back again!

Not long enough

We arrived late and slept very little, spent most of our time in Yellowstone. The short amount of time we were actually in the cabin, my kids were is awe of its beauty! Very clean, very nice and spacious. We want to return when we can enjoy it more!
