Dine in style at the adjoining table while soaking in the waterfront views—because every meal tastes better with a splash of salt air.

After a sun-soaked day on the island, retreat to one of three cozy bedrooms. The front queen bedroom is perfect for those ready to crash like a wave after travel. The second room features a pyramid bunk bed—a hit with little beachcombers and future karaoke stars alike. The third bedroom doubles as a mini getaway with a queen bed, desk, and small TV, ideal for mixing rest and relaxation with a bit of quiet screen time.

Nice place/great location

Really enjoyed the house and location. I would highly suggest adding bumpers and cleats to the dock for boats. Otherwise, I would give it a 5 rating.

Love the location!

Our favorite part about this cottage is the location! We had to kill three wasp nest! We both got stung! The neighbor made it very clear that she did not want us on her grass, even though we had a boat that was really hard to get into that location and it has a boat ramp, but obviously you cannot use it! Unless it’s for like kayaks. This is my second time staying there and I do absolutely love the location, but will not be bringing a boat back! And I also will be looking out for wasp. !

Wonderful waterloo

The house is cozy and is wonderful to watch nature. We saw dolphins bald eagles and osprey. The setup is perfect for kayaks. Highly recommend.

Overall the place was not very clean. Smelled like a wet dog. The rug in the living room needs to be thrown out. The blankets/comforters/pillows were dirty and smelled. The floors need to be mopped with a clean mop. I believe a thorough cleaning is needed and definitely throw out the living room rug. The location is wonderful though.

Very nice view

The house is right on the sound with beautiful views and sunsets! The house is much older and had some issues with cleanliness but the view and location made it worth it. I would suggest some updating for the property but the price and location was very fair. We stayed two weeks and our children went to online school in the morning and played in the ocean or sound in the afternoons. Overall great trip!!

Good location with some issues

Pros: great location. The house is a very short walk to the beach and having the dock is a lot of fun for kayaking and paddle boarding. Also short drive to restaurants and grocery stores Cons: we were disappointed with the cleaning prior to our arrival. There was trash left, dirty dishes out away without cleaning, used coffee filters and coffee grounds still in the maker.... The bathrooms were very grimy and had mold in spots. Not to mention the air registers were showing mold as well. The refrigerator had a lot of stains Some of the minor issues included multiple broken window blinds, very old mattresses, and a lot of ant/roach intrusion. Should probably be retreated by an exterminator.

Perfect Location

If you love to fish,kayak,go to the beach then this house is perfect for you! The views are stunning overlooking the sound. The house itself has a beachy rustic charm----what more could you want? We hope to come back someday!

Beach & Fishing Vacation All in One!

If you love to fish, this is the perfect place for you! My family of 6 (3 of the kids are in their early 20's) stayed here for a week and we spent time every day out on the dock fishing and the rest of the time at the beach. The dock is new and has a sink with a cleaning station. We caught lots of little interesting fish (who knew pig fish even existed?) and even a few big ones off the dock (flounder and black drum)! We even saw dolphins playing near the dock. The beach was WAY closer than I thought it would be so that was a big plus. I really enjoyed the swing inside the garage, when I wanted to get out of the sun for a bit and watch the boats. The house was clean. The bedrooms are small, but they worked and the livingroom has lots of seating so we enjoyed hanging out there together in the evenings. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything, though we did end up needing to get some garbage bags and TP for the bathrooms. But all in all, we loved our time there. This place is in the perfect spot and the kids BEGGED us to bring them back to this same place next year (actually the ask was for EVERY year)! And a big thank you to the owner, Joe, who was around and available for questions, etc. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely Lovely!

Saw dolphins off the deck

It is a Beautiful setting, Right on water and the Owner was so helpful. WE were able to set crab pots right from his dock and also fish off the dock. There are wonderful places to eat in town if you don't want to cook in the fully stocked kitchen. There was mold in bathroom and a plugged sink that he was going to look into.

Just perfect!

We stayed at Waterloo,my husband and I and our 3 adult kids to hang onto our son for a couple of days before he was deployed for his first time. It was perfect. The new dock we enjoyed so much. The house was so comfortable, the views amazing and i would recommend this place to anyone who wants a home with the feeling of a lot of love! The beach was so close! Waterloo - Simplicity at its Finest

My wife and I recently stayed at Waterloo on Topsail Island for weekend visit. Joe and Judy were super easy to work with, responded very quickly to any questions we had and made booking the rental a great experience. Everything was as described about the property and the location is simply fabulous, you can't get any closer to the water! Overall we enjoyed our brief stay here and would definitely book again! Awesome Location

We spent a 4 day weekend at this lovely home situated directly on the water. 4 adults, 2 young boys, and 2 small dogs. The boys loved the bunk room and the two couples each had their own bedroom. The home itself is dated, but we spent little time inside as the whole attraction of this property is the outside! As another user mentioned, the swing underneath the house was nice, as was the upper deck for watching the dolphins. We spent lots of time fishing off of the dock. Joe (the owner) was extremely accommodating and assisted us with docking our pontoon boat at his dock. The beach is a short walk across the street. We went to the beach in the mornings and were practically the only ones there until noon when a few surfers showed up. It was like having our own private beach! The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware, but we only ate lunch and breakfast there so didn't really take advantage of that. Lots of great restaurants within 10-20 minutes of the place. Would highly recommend the property and would return again.

Exactly what I needed.

This was the first house I've stayed at that was soundfront, and it was fantastic. The views were amazing from either inside the house or from the dock. We stayed 3 nights and we're blessed with 3 great days of awesome sunsets. I loved how quiet it was all day. The beach access was really close and easy to get to. It was also really close to both Topsail Beach and Surf City. Meet Joe (owner) and helped us with some location questions. Overall it was a mix of the perfect house and good weather. Plus, the fishing was fun from the dock.
