This was our second fall stay at River’s Edge, and we plan to schedule another visit in 2026. We loved the comfort and location of the cabin the level of hospitality and cleanliness was A. We recommend the cabin and host to anyone looking for a premium experience for a few days getaway or a week of vacation in the mountains by a lovely stream with nearby points of interest and activities.

The house, weather and wildlife was all perfect. I heard 10 different birds in the first 5 minutes of arriving and seen deer daily. The house is quite comfortable which made relaxing all the better. We decided to eat many meals in and found the kitchen lacking for nothing. All in all.. one of my favorite houses in the mountains so far. Oh and did I mention the peaceful river?

Beautiful and peaceful setting

We had a wonderful time with the grandkids! The house had everything we needed, the river was perfect for the grandkids to play in, and the fishing was great. We will definitely love to come back.

Fabulous house!!

Rivers Edge Retreat was just perfect! We loved sitting on the back porch listening to the river and watching all the wildlife. I would 100% recommend staying here and the host is amazing!

The Rivers Edge cottage is exactly as advertised. It had everything we needed and more. The kitchen was fully stocked, the beds very comfy and there are plenty of areas to find a comfortable spot to sit. The screened porch is very large and has plenty of comfortable chairs. There are 3 decks attached to the screened porch suitable for sunning or fishing, or just watching the river. Corann was very attentive to our needs and the communication was great. I can’t wait to come in the fall when the leaves turn. This cottage is big enough for a large family or 2-3 couples. Also, the neighbors were nice and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Very nice location

This home is in a very nice setting on the river, very relaxing. It's quite, all you hear is the river. The home included many of the of the accruements you typically do not find in many rentals, so it saved us from buying a lot of small things at the grocery. This is one of those jewels you find where you just enjoy staying. Highly recommend.

Fall escape

What an incredible few days we had in this precious house. My husband and I love to cook, and we think we have a well-equipped kitchen. This kitchen had everything we needed and more. The view from the deck is beyond magical. Where else could you see three deer, a bald headed eagle, and two trout within minutes of each other. Our hostess checked in with us before our trip to assure us the property had no damage as a result of Helene. She called on our last night to make sure our trip had been a beautiful one. I highly recommend this property.

Beautiful location, the sound of the river is very peaceful. We had a good time floating down the river and tied off to the rocks to relax in the floats. Did a little fishing but wasn’t very successful. Enjoyed playing cards on the back deck with the family!

Amazing Find! Absolutely Perfect! 20 ⭐️!

My husband and I came up for his birthday and our anniversary. The property was simply perfect! So warm and welcoming! The best stocked kitchen rental we have ever stayed in (and we’ve stayed in a lot with a child across the country!) It was so comfortable it felt like coming home to a place we had never been. Coran’s communication was beyond responsive! WiFi was strong with no issues there! Beautiful area, charming home, star gazing and fishing paradise. THIS WILL BE our go to house for any R&R going forward for sure!

Blissful location & wonderful host

Peaceful location, attentive & communicative host. The cottage is very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. Loved sitting on the screened porch overlooking the river and throwing a line in to fish. Probably the best equipped kitchen of any vacation rental we’ve had with comfortable beds. The host truly anticipated and provided everything needed for a pleasant stay. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderfully secluded!

The property was extremely clean and well maintained. We lacked for nothing. It was just so peaceful. Lots of wild life and excellent fishing! Property owner even checked on us and made sure we didn't need anything. We caught a snap of cold weather for about three days and used the fireplace that just brings another level of ambiance to the atmosphere.

Great Vacation

My wife and kids met up with my inlaws and explored the Hayesville area. The house and yard provided a great opportunity for all of the kids to spend time together and play outside. The hosts were wonderful and quick with communication throughout the booking process and our stay.

Cozy Cottage

If you love relaxing by a cozy fire or rocking in a rocking chair on a deck overlooking a river, this is the place for you. The cottage is comfortable and well-stacked. The host is very responsive and helpful. Great place to get away and chill.

Peaceful retreat

We absolutely loved our stay by the river. We took all our meals on the screened in porch with the sounds of the river nearby. We had everything we needed for a lovely trip. The grill was easy to use, the house clean, the lay out of the cottage made being together easy. It rained heavily before our arrival so the water was high and muddy. On the morning we left it had cleared and we could see that it would have been a great spot to get in the river for a quick dip. Next time! Thank you!

This was a beautiful cottage in a simply amazing setting.If you want relaxation and tranquility, this is the spot. It was everything we hoped it would be and more! Property owner was terrific to work with. I do hope we can get back up there someday again.

Awesome in every way!

This a great property along the Hiawasee river - Amazing scenery and wildlife galore. The host Corann went above and beyond to stay in contact if we needed anything. VERY PEACEFUL. Neighbor Mr. Tom super friendly. In our 10 day stay we saw - deer, beaver, water otter, turkeys, Canadian geese, osprey, eagle, hawks, kingfishers, gold finches, chickadees, titmouses, robins, rabbits, and even a water snake. Caught three trout right off the shore in the river. On my list for a return visit.

Tidy and well equipped home in a very quiet stretch of the river. Corann and Leigh have everything you might need for cooking in. We were surprised that it had an extra half bath off the laundry area. I would not hesitate to come back. Love Hayesville and don't miss Ducktown basin museum!

Lovely Retreat

This was a wonderful home and great location. We had a great time with family fishing and just being together. The property was exactly as described in the listing.
