Easy access to shopping (groceries) and restaurants. The neighborhood is quiet and nice for taking a walk. The bed was very comfortable and we had the best sleep. We explored and took a drive up Hwy. 35, where all the beautiful nurseries are full of bright orange pumpkins!
Hwy.35 has amazing nurseries and is only minutes from HalfMoon Bay.

Quiet get away

Amazing cozy property, super close to Half Moon Bay shops, short bike ride to the beach, beautiful trails and the harbor. The property was exactly what we needed to enjoy a few days in the sun. The host was super accommodating and very responsive, great neighborhood and a cute local coffee shop just a two minute walk down the road.

Absolutely amazing location

First off being as we usually book hotels on our vacations most of the time we were hesistant at first to entertainment a vrbo but waa so pleased on our experience. The host was so good on communicating with us on price, availability, food suggestions. Anytime we had questions they got back with us fast and even reached out during our vacation if we needed anything at all. The location was perfect so close to the beach and far enough to get away from the city after a long day of site seeing. Overall the experience was 10/10!locally,and check in and check out details.

Excellent location, very comfortable

I definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing Bay Area coast stay. The location is perfect for day trips around the region or for simply staying local. Everything you'd need for your stay is right there! Loved the coffee shop :) We really appreciated the rainfall shower and slept very well in the large comfortable bed. In fact, we felt very comfortable in general here. We also really appreciated the well-stocked kitchen (we cooked every day), including the spice rack. It was nice to have newer appliances and tv. The touchpad lock made the arrival process very smooth. Like Half Moon Bay in general, the neighborhood is very quiet --- exactly what we wanted. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Family Spring Break Trip to Half Moon Bay

My family and I had a wonderful stay during our spring break trip to Half Moon Bay, and we will definitely be returning again. Communication wirh the owners prior to check-in and during our stay was excellent, and the size of the property was perfect for the three of us. The house was very clean, comfortable beds, nice amenities (especially the fire pit) and conveniently located within walking distance to two beaches and a really nice cafe that we went to just about every morning during our stay. The close proximity to highway CA-1 also made it very easy for us to explore the Bay Area.

Great location needs some TLC

The Location is excellent and the overall cleanliness was fine. The bed was great and location is very quiet. We were disappointed with some areas that clearly needed some TLC. The kitchen faucet was broken, blinds were also broken, drapes in bedroom need repair, couch had stains and tears, outside cushions need to be cleaned, water filter in fridge needs to be replaced, no coffee filters for coffee maker.

Great little house close to everything!

We absolutely loved our stay at HMB in this fantastic little house. It’s close to everything you could want to do at HMB: golf the ocean and old courses at the Ritz, amazing restaurants, Main Street, Surfer’s Beach, next to a big supermarket, bike rentals at Straight Wheel easy access to go back east on the 92 to Palo Alto/Stanford. Parking is easy so it was worth the savings to not stay directly on the beach. We will be back!!!

Half Moon Bay Gem!

We had a wonderful stay at this gem of a home in Half Moon Bay! It was appointed with everything you’d need for your “at home stay” away from home. The home was as pictured and beautifully upgraded and was bright and Cherry! The back yard is fenced in and a great retreat. Too bad it rained a lot so we didn’t get to enjoy it as we had hoped but it was a great spot mom the less. The scenic beaches were breathtaking and were very close. The downtown is just charming with cute shoots and restaurants ! We cannot wait to come back… it’s a keeper !!

Loved our stay!

Perfect location, walkable (or easily drivable) to all wanted attractions! Went to the Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival which we could just walk to and from and did not half to deal with parking issues. Super short drive to Lemos Farm and Pastorinos Farms. Also made sure to visit Arata Pumpkin Farm. Our stay was great, the TV was a smart TV so we could watch streaming movies and shows from a variety of different platforms (e.g., Netflix, Amazon Prime). The game room was super fun we loved playing the basketball shootout game! The backyard is super cute, we loved turning on the festive light-string lights for ambiance each evening. Kitchen is well stocked with all utensils and cookware that you need, and you cannot go wrong with a farm sink! The bathroom was exactly what we needed and has a nice deep bathtub. Added bonus was a washer/dryer as well! Bed was very comfortable, plenty of pillows. 10/10 -- we will be back!

Perfect location and amenities

This property was just right for us. Easy to find and inhabit, like a deluxe hotel suite. Most comfortable bed ever! My husband and I enjoyed long walks to the beach, fun movies each night with the terrific TV set-up and made delicious food in the well equipped kitchen. We will definitely stay here again.

Worst experience with a vacation rental!

The neighborhood was unpleasantly noisy. The street was broken pavement. Little privacy with security cameras front & back, no coverings on kitchen & 2 bedroom windows. Extremely cramped 2nd bdrm. Refrigerator not working (a guest the previous month had informed them)... they gave me an unacceptably small credit which is about 1/16 my my rental charge. What good is a kitchen if you can't keep food in it? They wanted the largest damage deposit I've EVER been charged before... which has not yet been credited back to my account... tomorrow will be 2 weeks since I left the property! I hope giving my time to write this review will help other prospective guests. Typically, I am a very forgiving person, but this situation cast me into a nightmare of disturbing events and inconsiderate business ethics that shouldn't be ignored. I called VRBO and they basically told me it's up to the landlord... And that really soured my trust in VRBO considering the fees I paid to them! The previous 3 nights I stayed in a suite at a famous luxury inn in Carmel... more square-footage, a refrigerator that worked, free breakfast, and a spectacular ocean view... all for LESS money!! So, shop around... you'll find lots of welcoming hosts...

Great location and beautiful home

The house what impeccably clean and I was very pleased to see the kitchen as well stocked as it was, both with seasonings and great knives and pans. There are two large smart TVs and the California King bed is deliciously comfortable. The fire pit didn’t work for my stay and there was only one lounge sunning chair and a small bench in the back so it would have been nice to have more seating options back there but we were able to improvise. The one thing that gave me pause and bothered me (although it may not bother other people) is that they have two cameras in the front—that’s fine— but they also have one in the back that they say is for their guests security. It didn’t feel like that to me. Vrbo says that an owner can have cameras as long it’s not inside or somewhere that a guest would have a reasonable assumption of privacy…. It’s just me but I assume the private backyard of the house I’m renting will be private. The cameras they have can hear conversations, and have night vision. It made me very uncomfortable. However if that doesn’t bother you then this is a great getaway choice.

Fabulous thanksgiving holiday stay

Easy check-in, clean and comfy house. Everything you need plus very convenient to downtown Half Moon Bay. We would stay here again for sure!
