Dans une crique isolĂ©e surplombant le petit lac Sebago, se trouve notre maison au bord du lac en cĂšdre de 3 Ă©tages nichĂ©e au milieu des pins, nous l'appelons affectueusement la cabane dans les arbres. Notre propriĂ©tĂ© offre le meilleur des vacances dans le Maine. Isolement et sĂ©rĂ©nitĂ© peuvent ĂȘtre les vĂŽtres dans une propriĂ©tĂ© locative Ă©quipĂ©e de toutes les commoditĂ©s. Complet avec 3 kayaks et 1 canoĂ« pour votre usage personnel, quai en cĂšdre, grande terrasse donnant sur l'eau, grand barbecue Ă  gaz et foyer. Jouez aux fers Ă  cheval, aux jeux de sociĂ©tĂ©, faites du kayak ou nagez simplement dans le lac au fond de sable. Vous pouvez Ă©galement louer un bateau Ă  la marina et le lancer au lancement public Ă  utiliser lors de votre visite. Besoin de quelque chose Ă  voir avec les enfants? Juste en haut de la rue se trouve le Maine Wildlife Park. Vous voulez jouer au golf pendant que vous ĂȘtes ici? Pas de problĂšme, c'est aussi un jet de pierre.
La cabane dans les arbres a une cuisine complĂšte avec des appareils en acier inoxydable (cuisiniĂšre Ă  gaz Ă  6 brĂ»leurs, micro-ondes et rĂ©frigĂ©rateur en acier inoxydable), 2 salles de bains (une 1/2 salle de bain juste Ă  cĂŽtĂ© du pont et une salle de bain complĂšte adjacente Ă  la chambre principale au dernier Ă©tage). une chambre principale avec un lit queen et une vue imprenable sur le lac. Le rez-de-chaussĂ©e abrite deux futons gigognes qui peuvent Ă©tendre les couchages Ă  4. Smart TV avec cĂąble et wifi haut dĂ©bit. Les climatiseurs sont aux deux Ă©tages. We booked last minute in holiday week and got what was left
Pros: Geographic location, property on lake with dock and fire pit, lakeside patio with view and gas grill. Canoe and 2 Kayaks.Cons: Many, many steps with spiral staircase-we are in good shape so did not bother us. No dining room. Seating option was stained, uncovered patio furniture with bird pooped table which we spent time making usable. Outside stairs and patio, grill, covered with pine needles and had not been blown off in weeks. Kayaks and canoe have not been cleaned in months and spent 2 hours clearing insects, leaves, and dirty water to make them usable.Finally, on the second night, the bedroom was overrun with bugs. I mean everywhere and I spentan hour clearing them without success. We had to sleep on couches in family room which was ok.

Oh so quiet and pretty. Seeing the fall colors and hearing loons in the morning as we sipped our coffee on the deck seeing the calm water with a light fog was so relaxing. Sunsets beautiful and far enough away from the hustle and bustle but close enough for day trips.

In mid-September, it felt that we were the only ones on the lake. A very peaceful stay. I imagine that in summer many more cottages would be in use. For early morning access to the lake and to the bottom floor kitchen for coffee, I used the outdoor steps to exit the top floor bedroom in order to give my adult son some privacy in the middle floor-- equipped with comfortable futon/couch. The indoor spiral staircase starts on the top floor with a landing on the middle floor and continues to the bottom floor. Swimming was great. Sitting on the dock was lovely.

The location is right on the lake. Best part of the house is the deck, from which we heard loons in the early morning. Some drawbacks are described in the listing: the stairs, and the tight winding staircases for the 3 levels of the house. What could be remedied would be to provide a dining table for the deck, as there is no table for dining inside or out. Also, a dishwasher for the kitchen, and a general tidy up for the property. I would also suggest refinishing the deck, which is worn and weathered.

The only difficulty was getting our kayaks down to the water. There is a winch system which made it easier. Overall, it was an hour to get them down and an hour to get them up. There are kayaks and paddle boards already there for the using but we wanted our kayaks down there. Thanks goodness for the winch sytem.

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 10-year anniversary and we absolutely LOVED it! The cabin was wonderful.. amazing lake views from every level. Very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Great spot on the lake.. couldn’t see our neighbors, water was clear and warm, the deck and dock were spectacular. We kayaked with loons, enjoyed meals on the deck, and had campfires next the water. So relaxing and rejuvenating! Shawn was super nice and welcoming snd helpful. The only “negative” was that there were a lot of stairs to get to the cabin and a spiral staircase to go from floor to floor so if mobility is an issue then this cabin isn’t for you. I personally enjoyed the calf workout :) Overall 10/10, highly recommend!

Such a wonderful location! We were blessed with beautiful weather. We love the access to paddle boards and kayaks! Lots of stairs but made the drinks on the deck with the view of the lake so worth it!

Perfect spot for a getaway. Close to grocery store and seafood market. Plenty of room for vehicle and trailer. Private for a lake house. Not for anyone who has trouble with stairs but they were well lit. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely home on the lake. Enjoyed listening to the loons and the daily fly-by of the Eagle. Had a great time swimming and canoeing. Wish we had brought our fishing poles. Was quiet and relaxing. Enjoyed easy day trips to Douglas Hill for hiking, Maine Wildlife Park, and Portland Art Museum. Enjoyed meals at Yolked, Bob's Seafood, and Rose's.

- You cannot drink the tap water since it is lake water. So, you must use bottled water (provided). - If you have any mobility issues, don't go. - There are lots of steps from the parking area to the house. 5 flights to the upper level of the house and 7 to water level. -There are 3 levels to the house, all connected by a spiral staircase. - There is no table to eat at. You can sit on the deck or eat at the coffee table. - The property isn't well kept. There are many items that are deteriorated or neglected. Bits of projects and yard tools scattered about. - There is a large scary pine tree next to the deck that is mostly rotted out. It will fall at some point and it leans right over the deck where you swim. - We ran into an unfortunate set of circumstances with a leaky propane stove and dealing with multiple outside vendors to get it fixed. In the end it was an annoyance and we didn't have a stove for 3.5 days. With all of that said, we had a nice week enjoying the deck and the location. There is was a canoe, three kayaks and two SUPs. We enjoyed swimming off the dock and generally enjoying each other’s company.

I almost don't want to leave this review because I'd like to gatekeep this property for myself! This place made for a positively beautiful weekend. I went with my boyfriend and two of our friends and was a bit nervous the place would be too small for four people based on other reviews — but it wasn't. There was plenty of room for all of us and my boyfriend and I had plenty of privacy in the bedroom upstairs. What I wanted from the weekend was a home with a deck, a dock, and a view and this place delivered. The fire pit was the cherry on top! We didn't leave the property all weekend — why would we?? — and the kitchen facilities and grill made it easy to cook ourselves delicious meals both nights. 10/10, I will be back!

Great place to stay, but a lot of stairs to get to house. Steep landscape does not allow for parking near house, so you will need to carry items down multiple sections of stairs. Kitchen is downstairs on lower floor with no place to sit and congregate. Lake water is used, so you will need to drink bottled water (provided by the host), but remember to have it with you when on the third floor. It’s a long spiral staircase to the kitchen.

We stayed here for our anniversary, and were looking for a quiet place with direct water access, and the cottage did not disappoint. It's a small place (best for two people), and simple, but has all the basic amenities that make life easier. Having stayed in a number of rental cottages, what impressed me the most was the lack of smell. No terrible musty smell, and most importantly, no horrible air fresheners. What a relief! You can open windows in all the rooms for cool night air, and the air conditioning is there if it's hot. We loved the full-featured kitchen, really convenient to have a bathroom right next to the bedroom, and we ate all our meals on the wonderful deck overlooking the water (best part of the house!). We wanted to hear loons while we ate dinner and got our wish! The lake is beautiful and I only wish we'd had more days so that we could have taken the boat out.

This property has everything you need for a great stay on the lake. The views are breathtaking. Although it is a “cabin” it has the feel of a home. There are a lot of stairs but, it is well worth the effort. We had a great time!
