Beautiful Gatlinburg View

Stay was great! The cabin has a beautiful view of Gatlinburg and the mountains. The driveway was a little inconvenient to turn into but not a big deal! We did see BEARS! I will forever remember this cabin for the view and getting proposed to at the cabin! A memorable stay!

Great Cabin

This cabin is just as described. Beautiful views from the patio and perfect for a large family or group of friends. The driveway is steep and has a sharp turn so consider that when choosing a vehicle to bring. We saw a mama bear on our porch and her babies in the woods by the cabin. Unfortunately a bear did break into our car (not the rental’s fault at all!). We had no food, drinks or wrappers in it and it was locked but it still got in presumably looking for food. So stay aware and follow the wildlife rules!!

Great Family Vacay!

This was the perfect home for a family vacation! Great views and comfortable accommodations! You get the true mountain experience with the drive to the house, but we had no trouble getting in or out. We loved watching the Ober Gatlinburg tram, enjoyed many games of pool, and soaked in all the wonderful views. The home had everything we needed and the hosts even offered to give us fresh towels or extra supplies if needed! Our entire trip was made when Momma Bear and 3 cubs came to visit. The cubs played around the hot tub, while momma took a short nap at the front steps. Great home! We will definitely be keeping it on our list for future visits to the area!

Great view but some complaints

The location and view from this house, the pool table, shower/water pressure, exploring attractions and seeing all the bears made this trip worth while. A few misfortunes were bugs near the kitchen sink area kept appearing throughout our stay (small water bugs), alot of the surfaces, including the hardwood floor and appliances had dust on them, a few lamps had light bulbs that were out and not replaced and the worst would be that the hot tub listed in the property ad was gone. Our reservation was last minute but we were still not informed that it had been removed. The most annoying part was watching the new hot tub be delivered the day before we left, and not hooked up or able to be used. We would definitely stay in the area again but through a different property rental group that does a more recent or consistent check for cleanliness and accuracy of amenities at the property and the rental itself.

Bears!

This is a great property! It does need some updating. And somebody to go in with a wrench to tighten things up. Many of the electric outlets don’t work or connect to the light switch so you have no power in the room unless the switch is on. But after almost 20 years of visiting Gatlinburg in the summer this was the first time I had up close and personal bear encounters. One joined us at the hot tub and one actually got in my car. You’d never know it though! Not a scratch! It would probably be a good idea to warn people about the increased bear activity in the area. Thanks for the memories!

Anniversary trip with friends

We stayed at Le Rendezvous with our best friends celebrating our 30th wedding anniversaries. Since the office was closed because of COVID, we just grabbed an envelope off the front porch of the office with our name on it. The key was inside along with all our reservation information. This was a bit unsettling as anyone could have our information and where we were staying. We had NO contact with anyone at the office at any time. I guess it's ok as we had no issues, but we felt on our own. The drive up to the cabin was scary the first time or two but by the end of our stay, we were pros. The cabin itself was nice! Views were great and it was clean. Pillows were horrible-flat and hard. Beds were ok but could use new matresses. All beds were squeaky. One bathroom seems updated but the other could use a shower/tub update Kitchen was just fine. We cooked breakfast and one dinner at the cabin each day. It had pretty much everything we needed. And the bears. . . .we saw so many bears!!!! There were warnings on all the paperwork to lock your doors because bears will open your car doors. I would never have believed it except we SAW A BEAR TRYING TO OPEN A CAR DOOR!!!! Overall, we had a great stay. Bring your own pillows and you will love it!

Great cabin for a great price

The layout of this cabin was great. We took a couple retreat with a few friends and it was great. The layout allowed us to all hangout without being on top of each other. There is some tight turns getting to the property and up the driveway. We had a trailer and had a little difficulty getting it in the driveway.

Open living area with amazing views

For the most part the property was great. Nice open living room area for us all to hang out in with beautiful views and a large wrap around deck. The refrigerator needs to be updated, side pieces in the door are all broken. 2 of the 4 bedrooms were great! The other 2 have older carpet that kind of had a musty smell, with older bedding, The lighting was dim for us, It was dark in the evenings, especially over the table and in the bedrooms. Overall the stay was great! We enjoyed our time in the cabin and the ability to all hang out in the same space. Some could play pool, while others watched tv and the rest played games at the table. The large windows gave you a beautiful panoramic views of the mountains.

Mountain Vacation

We enjoyed our stay in the mountains. This place was very clean and nicely decorated. The drive up to the house was steep at times. We did discuss the fact that our minivan probably wouldn't have made it there if it was snowing. The 4 bedrooms were nice. Two king bedrooms had TV & DVD player. There were 2 queen bedrooms. 2 bathrooms located in the hall. No master bath. The kitchen was accommodating, however we would have liked a little more light/brighter lights in the kitchen & dining area. We loved using the pool table and playing the provided board games. The view from the living room is amazing!! There is a hot tub but we did not use it during our stay. It appeared to be heated, but we did not get in it or turn on the Jets. We didn't see bears on the property, but did see some on the drive down, back into town. The location is great! Very close to the entrance of the Smokey Mountains, Sugarland Visitors Center. We would definitely consider staying here again for the price and what you get.

Great view!

The view is fantastic and we were very happy with our stay. Loved sitting outside on the giant wraparound porch. It was great because each of our 2 kids had their own room- the cabin can be a little loud with all the wood floors and wood surfaces but we brought sound machines for the kids. Picking up the key was easy too although keyless entry would be preferable. We would definitely stay here again

Best Vacation

Property was as advertised. We had an awesome time. Saw a momma bear and 2 cubs right behind the cabin. Made our week one we'll never forget. Will definitely stay here again

Very satisfied

It was amazing I was very satisfied everything has been updated new beds and new flat screen tv in the living room both the king size bedrooms have flat screen tvs and DVD players it stayed nice in cool in the cabin at night with the Central air on because it was so hot outside lol it's very high up in the mountains and the only thing I would complain about r the potholes in the steep drive way and I do mean very very steep drive way it was so steep someone from our party had to leave because there car couldn't make it up the rest of the mountain let alone the driveway but over all we had a blast thanks so much would definitely rent again just make sure u have 4 wheel drive
