The house was comfortable and exactly what was needed for a long weekend getaway. Everyone enjoyed seeing and looking at the bears on a daily basis. Thank you for being fantastic hosts!
We enjoyed the stay. Listing pictures represented the house well. Plenty of spaces to spread out. Host included a high chair which was helpful! Indeed there were bears all over, including walking along the deck railings and a curious yearling who snuck up on us. One lane road up to the house was only trouble once when I met a giant Escalade who did little to help pass by each other. The only inconvenience was related to the background check that wasnât mentioned in the listing. Seemed entirely unnecessary and potentially discriminatory, but I was already committed with the reservation by the time I found this out from the host.
I searched and searched for a place where I could simply watch the bears in their natural habitat, and I found it. The bears did not bother us at all. We saw a mother bear and her cub twice, along with a few other bears. My daughter forgot to lock her brand new 2025 Equinox, which she had only owned for four days. The bears managed to get into it, but they didn't cause any significant damageâjust a lot of bear footprints that needed to be cleaned up. YOU HAVE TO LOCK YOUR CAR!!!! The Bears go down the street trying to open car doors. We watched them. The bear in the pic behind my daughter's car is one of the 3 that were in the car. The house had two master bedrooms: one upstairs and one downstairs, a total of four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Since we had a baby, we needed a place where we could easily sweep and mop after him. I called the host, and they provided a Swiffer the same day. They even sent birthday cupcakes for my husband to celebrate his birthday.During our stay, we visited Dollywood, went white-water rafting, and my girls enjoyed an ATV mountain ride.
The house was wonderful, very comfortable and well stocked. We did not use the hottub, there was just so much to do in the area we had no time. The location was perfect. Close to town for convience, but far enough to get the out of town mountain stay f feel.
We were so happy to spend spring break in this beautiful home. The home was amazing for our family we have 3 teens and everyone had their own room and bathroom so lots of space to spread out. The hosts were so attentive and were able to accommodate a last minute change to our reservation. I would highly recommend this rental!
Everything was fabulous inside. Due to much rain, the outside seating areas, which are not covered, were soaked so we could not sit outside which was a disappointment.
Lovely home with thoughtful details for the whole family to enjoy. My little ones loved the slide on the bunk bed, game table that converts to play foosball, air hockey, ping pong and pool, and other board games offered. Cozy blankets in every room as well as plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all spacious. Kitchen was well stocked and offered some tea and coffee options. As mentioned by homeowner, the hill to get to property is steep but we never had a problem. Quiet for enjoying the deck but close enough to parkway to get to Anakeesta and other fun.
We had a wonderful stay at Korin's house. It was clean and had a great layout for our family. There was plenty of towels, and well stocked with toiletries. The location was also perfect. We were close to town but still felt a little removed. There were LOTS of bears for us to see. I felt like we were on a bear highway, 4 or 5 came past daily including a mama and 2 cubs. We didn't feel comfortable letting our little kids out to play much but they certainly enjoyed watching the bears from inside. I would definitely stay here again!
Property sits in a quiet, wooded, community, where we were lucky enough to have multiple bear sightings. Road to the house is steep and winding in some parts, we would recommend coming there during day light the first time.
Ample space in the home with 4 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms, all with great toiletries. Ample towels. Kitchen was fully stocked with all basic items.
Any issues we faced were made right.
We had an incredible stay at this wonderful house, perfect for our multi-family tour! The layout is functional and spacious, accommodating all of us comfortably. The location is fantastic â we were thrilled to see bears every single day, making it a great spot for bear viewing. The kids absolutely loved it!
One thing to note is that the road leading to the house is narrow and winding, so be prepared for that, but it was part of the adventure for us. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, and we can't wait to come back!
Upon arrival we were unimpressed with the exterior but decided to cut them some slack as it appeared to have recently stormed. All of the outdoor seating was soaked and dirty. The giant checker board was also pretty filthy. We didnât look at the hot tub as it was very warm and we didnât think it was necessary. Once we climbed over the weeds to the front door we were thrilled as we stepped inside. This place was BEAUTIFUL. The listing looked exactly like the photos on the inside and the beds were like sleeping in heaven. The water even tasted better?!? I dont know why but it did! The kids LOVED playing downstairs and the adults took the upstairs to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet in the mountains. At night, we could hear the music and see the lights from Anakeesta! Very cool! The road was super steep and narrow, so 4 wheel drive would be best but we made it fine in our front wheel car. Only slipped a little once when it was raining pretty hard. Overall we LOVED this house. The location was amazing, the amenities were wonderful, and we will definitely be back. Our only note would be to clean the outside too!! We would have loved to use it!
Great spacious home for adults and kids. Only downfall is the road into and out of the house. Itâs very narrow and would benefit from being a one way road.
