'Beautiful and well maintained and close to shipping and food'

'We love the Bershire Mountain Lodge. We've stayed here five other times but this time we do have a few very minor negatives. 1) The cabinet door under the kitchenette sink had a loose hinge. We messaged the staff and requested that they wait until after we checked out to repair the hinge. We hope the hinge was repaired before the next guest checked in. 2) The toilet flush handle was slightly cracked but still functional. 'Room was lovely. Lots of old time charm. Beautiful view! Continental breakfast was average- fruit was kind of shriveled. Did not try out the restaurant, it just didn’t fit our schedule. Would stay again.'

'This nice motel by a lovely creek has great beds (not too hard, not too soft) and quality soaps and shampoos. Breakfast from 8 to 10am includes fresh strawberries and blueberries, oranges, apples, pears, and bananas, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, waffles, cereal, bagels, muffins and toast. Coffee was good plus orange juice and milk were available. And if you are so inclined, fresh baked chip cookies were also available. Service was personal and friendly. 'Room very clean and beds extra comfortable. Lots of small decorating features for a motel and gardens on grounds were extra beautiful. Rooms themselves felt older but with new furnishings. Overall a comfortable stay.'

'I found it annoying that my internet connection was so complicated to set up. Other hotels just have a password code. Easy. I also could not watch any TV without having to join a streaming service. Other hotels offer this for free to watch cable. A manual or directive instructing clientele on paper/ laminated would be helpful as the older generation do not all have smart phones and are lost as we can’t view hotel instructions via phone. Eerste hotel waar ze het fooi probleem voor de kamermeisjes goed hebben opgelost; er ligt een envelop waar je geld in kan doen voor het kamermeisje op naam dat je kamer heeft schoongemaakt; je geeft het envelopje vervolgens aan de receptie af die er voor zorgt dat het geld bij het betreffende kamermeisje terecht komt. Zeer uitgebreid en goed verzorgd ontbijt. Jammer dat de kamers wat gehorig waren; wij konden het telefoongesprek van de man in de kamer...

'The staff were very polite and helpful. But the property was under construction, so you had to walk over a block to your car and park it or you can do a valet that was never present? From what I was told from other people that were staying there is that the place I’ve been under construction for a couple years now that was not advertise that was going on so it was kind of frustrating.'

'Het hotel is ok. Kamer is ruim en goed uitgerust. Er is een binnen en buiten zwembad. Staf bij de receptie is echter verveeld en onvriendelijk. Uitchecken is niet zomaar gebeurt. Beddengoed moet afgehaald worden en handdoeken op de vloer. Servies met de hand afwassen als er geen vaatwasser is. Je vraagt je zelf af wat de schoonmakers nog moeten doen. Voor een kort verblijf zou ik hier zeker niet meer verblijven. Zeker ook omdat het wat uit de buurt ligt van doorgaande wegen.'
