Flats in Firth of Clyde

'Very conveniently located to Loch Lomond & the highlands. The staff (Alistair, Faith, & George, to name a few) were professional, friendly, and accommodating. The dining room was bright & neat & clean. The food was very nice and there was a wide variety to choose from for dinner. This is an older hotel, but everything worked. The soundproofing was excellent! Could not hear the motorway or people in adjacent rooms or in the hallway, even though the hotel was full.'

'This is a very good hotel , and the best value for money on the island. It is quite clearly an old hotel but very well looked after. The one down point for me would be the attention to detail with the cleaning of the rooms. The shower tray had hairs in it, the teaspoons and mugs were not clean. The carpet had quite a few "suspect" stains. Would definitely stay here again, but covered everything we needed to do on the island so probably wont be back for that reason. The breakfast was great.'

'Geen echt hotel meer, nu een B&B, waar ze wel hun best doen, doch al een beetje gedateerd is. Zeer vriendelijke mensen, ontbijt lekker en voldoende ( continentaal ), wij hadden kamer 2, die wat klein is, zeker de badkamer '

'B&B ligt aan drukke straat aan de rand van Ayr (niet te lopen). Geen ontvangst, maar notitie in hal. Ook later wordt je niet begroet. Kamer en badkamer ok. Goed ontbijt, maar eigenaren afstandelijk. Restaurants op 20 min wandelen in Prestwick.'

'Expedia does not tell you they don’t answer phone calls from foreign numbers & they have no front desk/ staff on site so only way to communicate is thru Expedia. I couldn’t get continental breakfast because Expedia blocks emails & they couldn’t send me payment link. No food or beverage available on site or within walking distance. Food delivery was lame, cash only & no utensils. Decent shower, bed & wifi'
