Peaceful birdwatching paradise

Gorgeous area and beautiful cabin. It was a hot weekend, but the AC kept the cabin cool. We spent an entire day sitting outside watching the river flow by, and we saw so many beautiful birds while we were there.

Absolutely perfect stay. Clean, well stocked, great location, and as nice of a hose as you can ask for. Beautiful cabin, great views of the stream. Only sad thing was having to leave.

Weekend at the Lil’ Kickback

We had the most lovely stay at the Lil’ Kickback! The space was absolutely beautiful and so cozy. There were many activities to do, suited for all ages. The cabin was well positioned to downtown EC, making for easy journeys into town. We would definitely stay again!

Cozy and Perfect

My wife and I were looking for a quiet, cozy place to get away for a couple days. This cabin is SO nice, and has a beautiful story behind it, left in book form by the owners. It’s private, comfortable, clean and close enough to town if you want a day away for sightseeing or a nice meal out. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Cozy

Lil’ Kickback is such a sweet cozy place to stay. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with supplies. The view, wood burning stove plus the fireplace made our stay in the middle of January such a warm inviting stay. Jolene was a great host! Always responding quickly and willing to be accommodating. Plus the little “hunting” game made it fun too. Highly recommend a stay here! Hopefully we will be coming back for another stay

Little House on the Prairie

This was a wonderfully cozy hidden gem. I almost hate to reveal to much because for us it was such a pleasant surprise (better than advertised). If you like relaxation and solitude in a perfect setting along side a windy river this is the place. I think I'm going to leave some to the imagination but I really don't think you'll be disappointed. We went with our 22 year old daughter and her friend and it was enjoyed by all. I can also see this for a wedding anniversary, a birthday/xmas gift for your wife...just a wonderful weekend. Host was very communicative as well. Trust me, can't go wrong.

You won't find a better 'cabin in the woods'

What a stunning cabin with a perfect location. Ideal for a couple with small kids, or a couple wanting a hideaway. So beautifully arranged and very comfortable with so many options for seating, inside and out. You can sit down by the creek, out the side by the fire pit, out the back on the grass, inside on the back porch, by the fireplace in the main living space... Easy to find, perfectly hosted, 15 minutes from the city of Eau Claire, but feels like in the middle of nowhere, make this place your next hideaway.

Nice getaway. Actually caught a trout in the creek next to the property and cooked it on the tripod grill. Homeowner recommended the creek downside of the dam for fishing (4 minutes away). Caught several more there but were not "keepers" Was my first time and tried the supplied kayak. At 60 years old it will be my last (more humorous than anything getting in and out). Friends and I had a great time.

Weekend in Eau Claire

This cabin was perfect. All the updates and furnishings were amazing! The cabin felt very cozy and the living spaces also felt open & spacious. The property was beautiful with the stream and mature trees. We visited Eau Claire, hiked at a nearby nature conservancy along the Chippewa River and relaxed at the cabin (we did not want to leave). We hope to return soon! This is really a special place!

Relaxing Stay

Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy your beautiful cabin. It was so peaceful with such a warm welcome including the fireplaces going and the lamps lit upon our arrival. We are amazed by the improvements made in 1 year as shown in your photo book. We have stayed at some VRBOs that have a code to get into the place which we liked. We thought we locked the cabin when we stepped out on Friday from 12:30-3:30. When we returned, the door was opened with 2 inches of space which felt a bit uncomfortable to us. Fortunately all of our belongings were still there as it seemed to be a very safe area.

Beautiful falling leaves and cabin!

The renovation and love poured into this log cabin definitely honors those who originally erected it many years ago. Stunning and cozy place to curl up and watch the birds, soak up the landscape and a great location to venture from to explore the beautiful Wisconsin countryside.

Great Place!

We had a great stay here! The place had everything we needed. Clean and nicely decorated just as the pictures show - nothing out of place when you arrive. It's also a very private property and good for hanging out by the fire. Communication w/ the host was excellent. You won't regret booking this property!

Nice cabin. Nice yard. Steep to get down to water. No fish. Inside cabin tidy but could use a good dĂ©cor cleaning. Food storage on top of garage bin unsanitary. Condiments and spices old and outdated. Broken can opener. Air conditioning in bathroom and bedroom can’t cool entire cabin. No contact from renter when we left to check in on our stay and felt not hospitable. Definitely no special touches like fresh flowers or a couple beers on counter with a welcome note . It was ok. Not bad just ok.

All reviews before mine are spot on accurate. What a magical, beautiful, and serene place. Loved every minute of being there. The property was so clean, you couldn't find a piece of garbage on the grounds. We will definitely be back, maybe in winter because I'm sure it's just as beautiful if not more beautiful.
