« The Lodge was great and we really enjoyed our stay. Flies were a bit of a nuisance and the frezer part of the fridge was unusable during the week we were there. We did report this on arrival to the property owner. »

« We had a really lovely couple of days stay in the Romany caravan. We were greeted with the warmest of welcomes. Bruce left us the most amazing welcome pack, lots of homemade goodies we were well & truly spoilt. Great little place with stunning views and peace and quiet. Leave your cares behind and go off grid for a few days, I can highly recommend it. Brilliant place for dogs, they are made very welcome with no charge. »

« A great location. Tranquil. A stones throw from Dalby forest. A great stay for building good memories. Quirky decoration just adds to the experience. The welcome hamper was a treat. The spring water was invigorating and pure. The family were very friendly. It was great just to have the kids enjoying the simple pleasures of life.... tooasting marshmallows and wading up the stream. »

« A lovely little cabin by a lake at the back of the owner's house (great distance between. Felt secluded and peaceful. Was great waking up and feeding the chickens, guinea fowl, geese and ducks with a cup of tea looking at the lake. A great spot to unplug and relax. Fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, central heating, cooker, kettle etc. a few more utensils would be handy. Highly recommend a stay here and the owners, Amanda and Barry are friendly, helpful and good folk. »

« We booked the shepherds hut for our 1st wedding anniversary. It was better than we thought. The hut was clean and lovely with everything we needed. The bed was comfy and the area was great too. We have no complaints at all and would definitely visit again :) »

« We've stayed in several caravans over the years and this is the best one we've ever stayed in. Lots of space, comfy sofa, comfy double bed, bathroom with shower AND bath. Full size fridge freezer with.oven and microwave plus a wine chiller. Honestly it's so good there's part of me that doesn't want to review it so well because I want to keep it a secret! « The pod we stayed in was beautifully clean and well maintained. It had lovely little touches like a small milk in the fridge waiting for when you arrived, each bed space had its own towels (including bath towels) so that was a nice touch also. The only thing I would recommend is that the view from the front of the pod isn’t the same on the photos due to new lodges being built so when we got there it was a little disappointing not to have that view and just a little suggestion now new lodges are...

« Lovely property, in a small settlement of varied pods and cabins, arranged to ensure privacy. Great location, close to both Pickering and Thornton le Dale. We are foster carers and needed a break with our very small youngster and the pod suited us perfectly - there was even a song thrush singing to us every evening! »
