'Mooi schoon en comfortabel hotel met goede bedden, prima restaurant, direct aan de haven en de ferryterminal gelegen.'

'Hotel is aged but beds were clean and comfy, great blankets. A bit of a stale smell in the room and a bit stinky in the bathroom but pop the windows open and all fixed. Was a comfortable stay and the restaurant downstairs had a great carvery buffet dinner.'

'I liked everything… the staff, the food, the room, the parking. All great!'

'Reading other reviews I was a bit worried about staying here but it was great. I had a huge room with a seaview and big modern bathroom with lovely Scottish toiletries. I thoroughly enjoyed a hot bath after a cold day out on the bike. They have a big indoor room around the back of the hotel where you can store your bike. Huge comfortable bed and the room was comfortably warm. Busy, friendly bar and restaurant and I had a lovely steak pie for dinner. Very much enjoyed my stay here.'

'Mooie plaats op het eiland om van daaruit rond te kijken.mm'

'Brae Lea is far more than one would expect. The location is a short walk to the Ferry Terminal at Lochboisdale - yet driving from the north, you feel as if you’re nestled in the foothills of a mountain (because you are). Rupert is an outstanding host, and he doubles as a 5-Star concierge. He helped us sort travel and touring arrangements as well as made breakfast and suggested dinner options. The Brae Lea accommodations are also top drawer. Clean - efficient - spacious - inviting. Full marks...

'Excellent! Most romantic place in the world. Amazing scenery, very friendly owners, great variety in breakfast. Clean and tidy.'

'The room was amazing. The view was spectacular. The bed was really comfortable. I can't fault the place at all. The only downside was the wifi wasn't working and the 4G was down also. This could have been due to the weather but it made communicating with the host difficult but thankfully we had everything we needed and it was only a two day stay.'

'The property is very comfortable and of a very high standard and the location is excellent. We enjoyed our stay with only one slight negative being the directions info (provided by hotels.com) was not accurate. I think we were missing some of the email message text. However, a call to the owner quickly resolved that and we had a lovely stay. Would highly recommend.'

'De foto is wel misleidend want het is de bar achter het hotel. De kamer was gezellig, heel proper maar vrij klein, zeker als je veel bagage bij hebt. Lekker ontbijt dat ze kiest uit een keuzemenu.'

'The twin room is very basic as it states. Just be aware that separate tub and shower actually means one ‘shared bathroom’ with everyone else on the floor. It would be helpful to have the light operable above the sink. It was a very last minute booking due to a ferry cancellation , but it is very close to the ferry terminal. The owner did supply us with a bagged lunch as our departure was very early in the morning which we appreciated very much.'

'The hosts Alex and Katie are a young couple doing a great job running this small boutique hotel! It is is older building however it is well kept up and clean. The rooms are comfortable and provide all necessary amenities. The food in the restaurant is excellent. We would definitely stay here again!'

'The staff are very friendly and helpful and there is a good variety for breakfast. The best part was the location …very convenient.'

'Nice, simple, clean room in Benbecula, South Uist. The innkeeper was very welcoming and friendly. There is a nice hotel restaurant a short walk away from the Hebridian Stay. We would stay here again the next time we visit south/north Uist.'

'Would have liked WiFi but we managed the cooker was basic but ok The view was great and the place was really nice'
