'I booked a double bed room in June 2025, changed to double twin bed room in September 2025 with confirmation, and received a small double bed room. Ownership changed in February 2026, new owner told me not to received change of booking, stayed 9 days, received for 3 days extra room.'

'From the moment I was on this property I knew this is where I was meant to be. I was only there for one night, although when I return to South Uist I will certainly stay longer. 'This was a magical place to stay. I loved the standalone bath and the log burning stove. The views were incredible. I loved the touches of board games being available in the rooms and we enjoyed a game of Scrabble. The room felt like pure luxury and the taste in furniture and decor was impeccable - loved the tartan blanket company throw. We will definitely be back for a future special occasion!'

Highly recommend Wardicott B&B to anyone. Tricky getting to it by bus, but use bus W5 and ask the bus drivers(very helpful).'

'From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Roddy the host, until we departed everything about our 5 day break was excellent. A lovely welcome pack, nice warm house, close proximity to the Town Centre, excellent restaurants, really good roads with no potholes and even Roddy managed to arrange very good sunny weather for us. 'We were welcomed at the door and shown to our well-appointed apartment. Spectacular views from the Castle across Stornoway harbour, and a very comfortable stay. Management are friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Recommend the Castle cafe downstairs for breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.'

We enjoyed our stay with only one slight negative being the directions info (provided by hotels.com) was not accurate. I think we were missing some of the email message text. However, a call to the owner quickly resolved that and we had a lovely stay. Would highly recommend.'
