'I have to say, first up, the bed was the best I have ever slept in. The mattess, pillows...just wonderful. The room was immaculate. We were upgraded to a deluxe room. It was beautifully furnished. Not your standard hotel room. You can see the fittings and the flooring were all chosen to reflect the elegance of this former stately home. The restaurant, bar and garden were beautiful. 'My stay was cool. The rooms do not have a microwave, a mini fridge and even Kleenex. The room also does have a lot working electrical outlets, it was hard to charge multiple devices. The property was nice and the room did what it needed to do for one night. '

'Perfect hotel om veilig in San Jose te verblijven. Je hebt wel transfer nodig naar het vliegveld of elders aangezien het hotel op enige afstand van het vliegveld ligt. Restaurant en bar verrassend goede prijs / kwaliteit verhouding zelfs in vergelijking met de restaurants door het land heen.'

'Een prachtig sfeervol oud gebouw vol met gangetjes en trappetjes. Zeer vriendelijk personeel en schoon. Prima voor een paar dagen San José. De locatie is een beetje er tussen in. Eigenlijk te ver van het vliegveld en ook net iets te ver om te lopen vanuit het centrum, maar als je een rustige plek in de stad zoekt en dat geen probleem is, is dit de perfecte locatie. Goed ontbijt, hartelijke ontvangst.'

'Heel fijn kleinschalig hotel. Van buiten Nijs maar van binnen erg mooi. Fantastische behulpzame mensen. Heb hier vier nachten verbleven en hen al voor mijn volgende verblijf in november geboekt. '

'Tuve una muy buena experiencia en Costa Rica Guesthouse. El personal es muy amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Las habitaciones son amplias y cómodas, y los baños se mantienen limpios. A pesar de estar en una zona con bastante movimiento, el lugar resultó ser sorprendentemente tranquilo. Además, los espacios compartidos están bien acondicionados, ideales para relajarse o socializar.'

'Great relaxing place with perfect beach! The room - 2 queen beds - was big enough for us (2 adults and 2 teens) and had a great seaview. Friendly staff and a good restaurant serving good breakfast. One beach further down the road is Las Catalinnas with a great restaurant (Limonade) as well and a rental place for bikes, peddle boards, snorkels, ... everything for a perfect day at the beach.'
