Hidden treasure

This little cabin on the lake took us back in time in the best ways: childhood memories of grandparents' cabin, life before the never-ending stream of notifications from phones, beautiful trees and wildlife... We enjoyed a paddling along the shore line of Grave Lake and having a couple nights of peace and quiet (aside from our 6-month-old baby's interruptions) amidst our busy summer. It was also a relief to find a place where our dog was welcome to join us.Jake and Leah communicated promptly and made things easy for us even though they were not present on-site while we were there.

Piece of heaven

As you get closer to the cabin the forest gets more dense.Look up at the lush canopy that surrounds you.Suddenly it’s quiet and the noise of the outside world is gone.The cabin has a short steep driveway off a quiet dirt road.It feels very private.The large fire pit(great for fire cooking)is surrounded by tall trees & moss covered ground.Bring your phone and go on a mushroom hunt around the property.The bathroom is the fanciest outhouse you will find. It has running water spacious &chandelier lighting.The outdoor shower is an experience that has to be felt not described.Turn off all lights and shower under the stars and moon at night.Inside the cabin the beds are comfortable. Sleep with the windows open so the loons and owls can sing you to sleep. A large fire place and the charm of the rustic decor beckon a romantic evening.The deck off the back of the cabin feels like a tree house nestled in tall towering trees the birds & squirrels are at your finger tips.Throw an air mattress out there and sleep under the stars & trees.The lake is down a path yes you will have to hike it back up.Its your excuse to eat more s’mores.The beach has tubes a large floating mat paddle&row boat kayaks paddle board etc.Fish are abundant! Fish at night off the dock is magical.Also star gazing off the dock.Its lovely here and a great way to refresh and ground your self. We hope to return again Thank you hosts for sharing your piece of heaven with us

Great Northwoods Getaway

We had a wonderful family vacation. Relaxing, unplugging, fishing, hiking, and enjoying nature. This property really helps you to do that!! We loved the vintage feel of the cabin, it was just like stepping back in time. The lake is just a short walk down the hill, and they provide plenty of items to enjoy the water (kayaks, row boat, floating mat, tubes, life jackets, etc.), plus there is LOTS of wildlife to watch, and a great view of the stars at night. The outhouse is actually very nice, it doesn't feel like a typical outhouse, and the outdoor shower is great! (minus the mosquitos) The cabin is located near plenty of other fantastic lakes and hiking trails. Bring plenty of bug spray, and you are sure to have a great time!!

Great stay at a peaceful place

We loved our stay. Peaceful, quiet get-away. The hosts were extremely responsive to any concerns. We had a bit of trouble learning how to adjust the shower, but the outdoor shower was fun. Cleanest biffy I've ever seen. Would highly recommend.

Great spot for a cozy stay

My kids fell asleep to an indoor fire every night and our dog loved all the outside space. The host was easy to contact and fast with requests. A great stay. Would re book in a heart beat.

Rained almost every day but still enjoyed the bord eatching and fiahing as it didnt rain all day. Lots of sightseeing and shopping too. Walked some trails all around good time

Quiet Fishing Vacation

My husband and I stayed for two nights with our dog. We really enjoyed the how secluded the property was. The drive in was beautiful, we saw plenty of wild life with the bonus of the fall colors starting to appear. Our main goal was to fish, we were surprised / excited that this property had a small row boat you can use outside. (Just bring your trolling motor). Grave lake is has great fishing. We would love to come back.

Great time!

I brought my dad up that used to live in the area. It was a great spot for us to explore his old stomping grounds and then come fish for dinner and be secluded. We could hear all sorts of wildlife and enjoyed time there greatly! Then the family met us up there and we had a blast! Thank you!

Great getaway!

We stayed for 2 weeks and could have stayed longer. Everything was as described. Beautiful location! We brought our boat and enjoyed fishing on the lake. We will stay again if we are in the area!

Cabin Getaway

My husband and I booked a long weekend at Camp Corder for us and our two dogs. It was just what we were hoping for, a relaxing change of scenery. We had a serene time in nature. It's so quiet! Jake and Leah were fantastic hosts, and I would definitely return in the future.

Awesome Girl’s Weekend

We loved our time at this cabin. It’s a cute cabin just right for a girl’s weekend. We appreciated the book that gave recommendations of where to eat etc. Loved the lake. The “beach” area was a bit squishy so that was weird, but a very small thing. We had reason to reach out to the owner who was very responsive. I plan on bringing my husband for a weekend away. Oh, and try the shower. Not sure why I lived it so much, but it was fabulous to have a nice warm shower outside. Highly recommend this place!

Great northwoods getaway

My family loved our stay in every way! There were fun extras like bird feeders, beach toys, and just enough indoor toys for a rainy day. We loved using the boats, swimming (great sandy bottom area for swimming), and fires in the fireplace in the evenings. We enjoy the outdoors, and this was perfect for our family!

I was looking for a cozy, secluded get away, and this property was just what I needed. The fall colors were astonishing! The lake views and sunsets were stunning! Leah was very accommodating to my needs, which I greatly appreciated. If you can handle an outhouse and shower in the coolness of fall, I highly recommend staying here!

Great cabin!

Jake and Leah were very fast at responding. We had a great time on the kayaks with our 1 and 2 year old! Made a lot of our meals over the fire and kids enjoyed picking up sticks to start them! Only thing that would make this a perfect stay would be wood included, but we knew it wasn’t so we went to the gas station to get some, but they were all out! Not a huge deal though! Thanks for having us

Perfect for a family of four!

My husband and I wanted a little getaway with our two young sons. This has been the perfect place for us! Nice sandy beach so that the boys can play in the water. Clear lake full of fish for some fun fishing. We enjoyed both fishing on the dock and in the wide-set canoe. It may be the time of season, but we were pleasantly surprised that we hardly experienced any bugs! My favorite was the wood-burning fireplace in the house. We had s’mores every night! We all loved how cozy the place was and how it’s size brought back the simplicity of life. The brand new AC unit was also a very nice compliment to our overall stay. Leah was very kind and responsive to any questions that we had. The outhouse was very clean and moderned-up with a built in sink with running water. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and are already dreaming about coming back next year!

Perfect Place to Get Away

Our family loved staying here. My husband asked me to find a cabin by a lake, with air conditioning. This checked all of the boxes. It is just what you would imagine for a cabin by a lake. It's so quiet and peaceful. Don't let the "outhouse" or outside shower deter you. The "outhouse" is really a bathroom. The only difference is you put down the lid instead of flush. The bathroom is decorated and has a sink and a chandelier. The outside shower has hot water and complete privacy. The cabin is adorable and has everything you need to enjoy yourself. The owners also provide 2 kayaks and a stand up paddleboard (there's a rowboat, too, but we didn't use it). You can fish right off of the dock. We grilled and used their fire pit. And, it's so peaceful. You are right in the woods with a quick walk to the lake from your cabin. You can see the lake from the deck. Perfect place to relax, unwind, and spend time together as a family. Hike, kayak, or just read a book in the hammock (yes, there's a hammock, too). The owners are very responsive. Honestly, I don't have a bad thing to say about this place. Everyone in my family (husband, 20 year old son and 18 year old son) wants to go back. It's truly a unique and wonderful find.
