'I would 100% recommend Heritage Hotel Dea in Hvar! It was a beautiful ancient building that was modernly updated and stylishly decorated with beautiful flooring, tiles and quality linens. 'This is a very sweet boutique hotel--immaculately clean and brand new. the breakfast was amazing! we stayed a week and had different options every morning--all were delicious! However, it is located right beside a church which has bells ringing for 4 minutes every morning at 6 am!!!!!! early wake up call. it's also directly on the main road, so not at all quiet. you had to walk a bit to cross the road and get to the beach, but the beach walk is wonderful and has many incredible restaurants...

The breakfasts were excellent - varied, attractively-presented and featuring an impressive range of local produce. Shops were nearby, and within two hundred metres we could walk to Diocletian's Palace, the waterfront and two markets,as well as to the ferry port and bus station.'
