Jiufen can be quite busy and loud, so we loved the inn’s quieter location, while still being conveniently walkable to the main bus stop for day trips and hikes.'

'Nice, new guesthouse, very close to the railway station and night market. Friendly host, nice breakfast. We had the room on top of the stairs, with a low ceiling. We could not stand up straight under the shower, which was a little uncomfortable. The bathroom ceiling is even lower than the one in the (windowless) room: we are Dutch ladies, 1.75 cm, and are sure our partners of 1,85 could not have stood up straight in the bathroom! 'We had a great stay at the B&B! The hostess and her family live on site - the first floor and guests are upstairs. It's a grand spacious house in the middle of a field. Quiet with nature around it. It'd be not as convenient as one in downtown, but the hostess drove us to the restaurant and had dinner with us. She also took us to enjoy the famous hot spring there! She drove us back afterwards.
