'We have stayed in Excellence resorts twice before (Punta Cana and Playa Mujeres). When we checked in to the Excellence El Carmen, we did have a few somewhat minor, but annoying issues: 1) No hand soap in the bathroom (they use bath gel near the sinks, but we didn’t have that either). 2) The table in the living area still had drink rings on it from a previous guest. 3) There was no “Do Not Disturb” sign in our room. Also, the hot/cold knobs in the bathroom were reversed, so turning the “cold”...
