'The room and property was overall great and so was the service. They cleaned every day and left beautiful arrangements with the towels. The adjoining restaurant was also excellent. However, I’m taking off two stars because the bathroom was not well maintained construction-wise. The floor was sinking so when you sat on the toilet, you were leaning into the shower. 'Rustic lodges in the trees, small family run property (only 4 lodges). Lovely owners, breakfast brought to your lodge each morning - eggs, toast, jam & fruit. Fridge, kettle and coffee maker in room. Although it isn't far to Monteverde you would need a car.'

'Dirty bathroom, very noicy due to airplains flying right above. Dangerous outer door with very sharp edge that comes straight towards you when you press the green botton. The personell was alright. Not worth the money '

'The hotel is closed, with the sign removed, the doors padlocked, and dogs and chickens wandering around outside. I had to call the cab that had just dropped me off late in the afternoon to come get me and take me to another hotel. I got numerous emails from the hotel welcoming me even that day, with shuttle information etc. Without daily maintenance the place is looking forlorn and a bit spooky. 'La Terraza was an absolute delight. The staff and owners couldn’t have been more friendly, more helpful, more accommodating. We stayed in the El Rio apartment. A bit more expensive than a regular room but, OMG, so worth it!! Its large, has a beautiful view from the terrace, full kitchen, beautifully decorated.
