We ended up getting in town late and it was a VERY long gravel road to get to the property. When we went in to check it out, we were greeted by flies and lots of moths. The floors downstairs felt so gross that I didnt let my kids take shoes off. I understand that the home is on a working farm and its very old. But it was so run down that right after walking in, we started calling local hotels to try to find somewhere to go. The upstairs is that much worse than the first floor. There is no handrail on the stairs, the âlight switchâ is a very long rope that is very unsafe. All of the beds were VERY cheap metal frames, the mattresses were lumpy, and the sheets were very old and musty. The bedroom with 2 beds upstairs was the only bedroom we used because 2 of my kids were too afraid of the dilapidated flooring in the entire upstairs. It was so uneven and unsteady that it felt like you were going to fall through the floor. One of the bedrooms upstairs was the size of a closet with a very low door frame. The other bedroom had a window unit âtapedâ in the window that looked like it would fall out if we touched it to turn it on. We
