Worst hotel experience I’ve encountered. I reserved 3 rooms at CLT Airport Inn and Suites and when we went to the address it was a La Quinta Inn. Strange, but it was in the evening and we thought we’d give it a try. As we were checking in, we were told, “We have no towels.” We were not given the option to cancel the rooms, so we took them. We were on the 4th floor. One of the two elevators was out of order and the other one worked but had no safety certificate. The 4th floor was covered with overflowing trash can trash and trash all over the floor. One of the room keys didn’t work and required a trip to reception. We reserved 3 rooms with 2 queen beds. We had one room with a king bed only and one room with a double and single. There were no towels, sheets, blankets, soap or shampoo. We did have toilet paper. We had a man sleeping outside our door loudly listening to music (he did leave when asked). Unpleasant to say the least! So far, both Expedia and the hotel are refusing to refund the reservation. It’s unfortunate Expedia doesn’t vet the properties or have any internal controls about who they partner with.
