'The house and accomodations were very pleasant and super clean. The bedrooms are upstairs with a fll bath and ac. The snacks and drinks provided added an extra touch throughout the stay. Definietly a thumbs up place to stay!!!'

'The Happy Hen was the perfect spot for my wife and I and our two children, aged 10 and 6. Minutes away from the battlefield, with a very convenient Dollar General just down the road, the HH was cozy and delightful. We intend to stay again in the future.'

'Since I was visiting a grand daughter and her family who live in a nearby town, I wasn’t interested in local attractions. But we had so much fun just staying at the property, seeing the animals and enjoying the beautiful countryside. Our hosts were delightful. I hope we can get back there again. '

'Well landscaped and appointed, with rolling and beautiful farmland, & a small pristine cow pasture out the front door, layers of wonderful Pa. woods surrounding it. Sweet Arow Lake nearby is a wonderful hike with a nice waterfall. Trout stocked year round. The farm nearby is not objectionable at all, but a line of arborvitae would screen even that. Then you are in a private and beautiful world.'

'Loved this historic home located in a peaceful picturesque location yet minutes from so much to see and do. Great opportunity to expose grandkids to how things were 220 years ago and explain significance of a spring house back then. Sitting on the big porch watching birds and kids was a treat for this grandma. '

'Our family had a great time here. The kids had so much fun running through the yard, sitting by the fire pit, and watching the stars. It was great to disconnect from TV/Internet for a weekend. We look forward to staying here again as a family. It really transports you to a simpler time. Highly recommend!'
