'I stayed at the Hotel Kaplan for a three week study program which was a 15 minute walk away. The rooms are clean, comfortable and provide you with the essentials, nothing more. While not an upscale hotel, the owners Eli and Nathan are very welcoming and are definitely part of the experience of staying there. A kitchen is available if you want to do light cooking. 'This nicely renovated building is located exactly in between The Old City and Mahane Yehuda Market (the shuk), both within short walking distance (+/- 15 min.). We have stayed here for 6 nights and were pleased by the kind staff. Throughout our stay we have been treated excellent by the hotel staff, and the owner took care of us like a true gentleman. Just the breakfast is a reason to book this hotel; I will highly recommend this place to anyone travelling to Jerusalem. '
