Rhos-on-Sea Tourist Information Centre

I have had mixed experiences with this hotel under two different names, having been coming to the area for over 5 years with work. On this occasion, my experience was definitely on the less good end of the spectrum, which was a shame because I was a returning customer after a few months away. Toilet flush mechanism didn't work at all in the room I started out in, and while maintenance had a look as I ate my meal (which was really nice!) they couldn't fix it and I was relocated to another room just two down from the first. I was slightly put out that this meant a twin bedroom over a double, but at least it wasn't too inconvenient. What really winds me up is the TV. Never understood why it was so hard to provide a reliable set of channels. Also, the WiFi is painfully slow, there is a nightly car parking charge and the variable pricing means that sometimes the same not spectacular room can double (and on one notable occasion when the Rugby World Cup was in town, treble!) in price. If it weren't so convenient for the office, I wouldn't stay here in preference. Sorry B&B. Not for me. On a positive note, the tv lounge for the world cup games was great and I saw England beat Croatia...

I have visited UStay apartments previously and it didn’t disappoint 2nd time around. Everything you need is in a nearby location, whether that be a shopping trip or going for the night life, every thing is nearby. The apartments were very clean and well looked after.

There’s a few complaints about the hotel room that we were not happy with: *smell of the room as soon as we walked in *bathroom smelt like sewage, so much so it made one of us gag to the pint of being sick *dead flies on window sill *dodgy tap in bathroom *crumbs in bed that made us itchy *kettle lead small so had to make hot drink on floor *noisy fridge *sockets loose and overheated phone charger *mould in the shower *water sounds from toilet
