'The first contact was a bit swiftly but actually that was fine. Everything was there and everything was nice at Javiers place. The view from the balcony was beyond marvellous, the house was always cool. It was clean and spacious. Location of the house in a small community of houses was simply excellent. Loved the pool. 'Reaching the villa is an adventure, driving over a very steep but well drivable narrow road. If you rent a car (you do need a car!!) you should go for a diesel. We didn't. Our Nissan Micra made it barely through the hairpins in first gear. A diesel would have been much easier to drive. Once there you get an astonishing view over Almunecar, the hills and the sea. Breathtaking! You enjoy this view from the terrace near the (clean) swimming pool or from the terrace in the shade that is equipped for...

'We hebben hele fijne weken gehad. Huis met veel grond en bomen er omheen. Van alle gemakken voorzien. Heel veel privacy en rust. Peter is een geweldige host. '

De rust, de prachtige omgeving, het groot zwembad met voldoende plaats om in de schaduw en de zon te zitten, het zeer goed uitgeruste appartement met goede bedden en 2 gezellige terrassen, een fantastisch zicht, in de buurt van gezellige dorpjes, niet ver van stranden en de zee, zeer lieve eigenaars die je bijstaan maar je ook je privacy geven, ….. Views around the sea and mountains, with a spectacular sunrise and sunset every day. Communication with the owners was smooth and reliable. 'Beautiful garden and lovely pool. Great that the pool was enclosed for our 3 year old. We visited end of May and while the temperatures were already in the low 30s, we did not need to turn on the airconditioning as the house remained cool.Hosts were friendly and took the time to explain everything. It really felt like you were in the middle of nature - we heard at least eight different species of birds in a single hour!Highly recommend.'

'What a remarkable villa. It is a family home from the 19th century that exudes history. A very pleasant and energetic place. The garden completes the stay. Incredibly beautiful with very old trees that create a microclimate with a cool temperature. Definitely recommended!'
