« The staff were wonderful and very helpful. We had a small issue with a slow drain but management helped clear that up quickly. Great location, older property - could use some updating, but that said we had a wonderful stay. Thank you Carolina Inn for a nice stress free visit to Burnsville. 🤗 »

« Due to the nature of the retreat… there was no face-to-face contact w the staff but they responded promptly to text or call. Our cottage at Mitchell 2 had an excellent view of Mt Mitchell east side. »

« My wife and I stayed here for a week to volunteer at the Samaritan’s Purse rebuilding mission in the Burnsville area. The Inn was very enjoyable and is a wonderful old building. The staff were friendly, the room was comfortable and had a great shower, which we enjoyed after a long day of working on homes for families who were affected by Hurricane Helene. »

« Planned a short getaway to hike Mount Mitchell and this place could not have been more perfectly located to the trailhead. The Lodge is newly built, and ground are impeccably well maintained. The staff was super helpful. They even came by to drop off a lighter so the firepit could be put to use. They have a common use area with a ktichen and grills that can be utilized which is an added bonus as I don’t recall reading about all they had available to make the stay above and beyond expectations....

« Property is in a very beautiful area of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was good size with balcony looking out over mountains. Dinner was good. Portions are large. »

« I stayed in the Milton room and it was beautiful. The Hotel has a very warm feeling with lots of comfortable seating downstairs to socialize. The owner sent me an email with self check-in instructions making it very easy to proceed directly to my room. She even called me leaving a message making sure I was aware of the email and asked if I had any questions. It made me feel right at home. I would definitely stay again and recommend them to any couple who wants a romantic getaway. »

« Recently remodeled motel is conveniently located in Black Mountain and is a great value. The room, bathroom, and linens were very clean. Staff was very friendly. »

« Beautiful location. Staff was nice and friendly. Front desk was professional and cordial. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Had one dinner at the restaurant and I had chicken tenders - really good. Waitress was very friendly. Prices were as to be expected. Room was clean. I wish the bathroom was a little bigger and that the shower had a pull-down head. I would recommend!!! »

« The room was clean. If you like more of a firm mattress you’ll like theirs. The breakfast selections could have been better (they have yogurt, bagels and cereal). No hot breakfast options. The doors to the rooms slam shut so it can get loud. You can’t hear neighbors in the next rooms but if kids are running in the room upstairs you can hear it. Staff was very polite and helpful. »

« sadly we did not enjoy our stay and we are old house lovers - the location was great being close to town and the WIFI was excellent but the room was not what we would have expected for the price - small with tub in the middle, toilet so close to the wall it was difficult to sit on, shower that went from frigid to burning hot off & on, no soap, 1/2 bottle of shampoo, the room was too hot and stuffy even with both windows open, bed was called queen but felt more like a double, bedding had cigaret »
