Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Lake Champlain House

Beautiful house with an even better view! We enjoyed the beach and huge deck areas. The house was clean and stocked with everything we needed. Convenient to shopping and dining in Burlington. Highly recommended!

Came up to Vermont for a soccer tournament with a group. Our stay was great at this lakefront home. Kids had a blast on the beach and at the home while the adults enjoyed the beautiful view on the deck and the beach.

Family Trip

We booked for our family for graduation and it was perfect. The first floor has bedroom and bathroom for grandparents and upstairs has large master bedroom and two bedrooms for the kids. The common area was perfect for people to gather and socialize and parking was easy and not an issue for ourselves and the few people that stopped by to visit with us. View of the lake was gorgeous!

The home was perfect for our annual friends’ trip of 4 adult couples. Plenty of room, a beautiful view and a convenient location. The kitchen was well stocked for the cooking we did and the bathrooms had a supply of shampoo conditioner and soap whichever was nice.

Great spot on the water

Beautiful location right on the water. We enjoyed the lake tremendously. The kitchen has not been updated but we didn’t cook there so it didn’t bother us. Lots of space to spread out and feel comfortable. We sat on the deck and in the room facing the water for all of our relaxation - felt great.

Not worth the price

This is a lot of money for a house that badly needs an exterior power washing, replacement of WW II era pots/pans/knives/forks, a good cleaning of the kitchen that we left cleaner that when we came, and has a musty smell on first floor. Looks newer in the photos than reality. You are on the leeward side of the lake so the lake water is muddy and beach littered with drift wood.

Loved the location and outdoor space. The decks and beach access were incredible. However, the house could use some updating and love out back in. Some of the rooms/bathrooms are updated but the vast majority needs some love put back into it. There was only one small pager overviewing the property which I thought was odd in comparison to other rental properties that provide a book detailing the property and surrounding area. There were a lot of dead bugs around windows and the place just needed a bit more elbow grease in it. Kitchen cabinets were sticking/gooey and the coffee pot was broken on arrive which was not ideal for all of our coffee drinkers. The posting indicated a fire pit on property, however the one pager indicated no fires on the beach and there was no an alternative option which was disappointing considering the listing. At arrival, there was a handyman still fixing the property (hole in the wall from last occupants) presented an awkward exchange. We received notification from the property manager that it was ready, however he was taken off guard clearly and noted he didn’t think we were arriving until the following day. The man was very nice, but was not a good way to start off the experience. Location was great again and we loved the outdoor space but overall felt underwhelmed we the details and discrepancies.

Comfy house, beautiful setting

Our family group of 8 had a great time here over the holidays. Extremely clean and well set up, including the kitchen, which we used to make meals. Nice big living area. Wish the dining room table were big enough to easily seat all 8 of us, but we made it work. A beautiful well supplied house!

Nice Comfortable Place on the Lake

The house is spacious, comfortable and clean. The location is very nice, with good views of the lake and mountains. It is conveniently located within easy driving distance from Burlington.

Great location, fabulous view, clean big house. House could be spectacular but owners have not spent any time or money on appointments. 80s vintage sparse furnishings, one tv!, sleeping for 8 dining for 6, no towel bars, all of the pots and pans should be trashed. Have rented through VRBO many times and this was our most disappointing experience.

We went up to Vermont for the foliage, and the colors were spectacular! The view from the house was beautiful. Upon arrival I had to sweep the kitchen floor, and clean off the kitchen chairs of dust and crumbs. Also, upon arrival all bath and hand towels were very damp, and had to throw them in the dryer. The housekeeper should have noticed this when she was folding them. Rugs needed a vacuuming and a good cleaning. The extra bedrooms did not have bureaus, guests had to live out of their suitcases. Sliding screens to the downstairs deck were all torn. Windows were filthy, caked on dirt and dead bugs. Not pleasant to look at. Downstairs bathroom did not lock, and had poor lighting. Both bathrooms need a hook outside of shower to hang towel/bathrobe while showering. Some of these things are small and inexpensive fixes. All of these added up did not make for a pleasant stay. Would not recommend staying here.

Great place for retired Boomers

This property has by far been our best VRBO rental ever. The entire home is beautiful, neat and very clean. It also had all of the amenities one might need. The kitchen had about every utensil or cookware you might want or need. It was like being in our own home. The owner checked in with us several times to make sure we had everything we needed. If you are 60+ and like traditional decor plus a nice quiet location, this is the place to stay. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best, this was a 12.

Cheerful Colchester Lakefront Property

The house was fully equipped with everything we needed to host a holiday meal for our extended family. We were three generations enjoying VT and all felt so comfortable and happy in the home! Great place !!
