'The host was outstanding, very friendly and helpful. The house was very clean and comfortable, loved the lounge. It was well placed for the sea front and restaurants - we particularly recommend the Thai and Italian restaurants in Carlisle Road.'

'Had a very enjoyable stay here, Used as base to visit NT properties in the area. Very nice and well appointed room and superb breakfasts and lovely helpful staff.'

'The staff are very helpful and friendly. The food and beer is good and great value. Parking is a bit tight, so arrive early if you are checking in! If you want to eat, make sure you reserve a table. We found out the hard way on Saturday lunchtime that you can't always get a meal, even if you are a resident. Other than that, it's a good place to stay. It's quiet at night due to the location and the fact that the bar isn't open until late.'

'Nice old location with a lot of character but a bed that is far from horizontal (much like the building) so sleeping was difficult but unfortunately one of the main issues for a hotel'

'Stayed in one of their attached cottages comfortable. Staff were attentive and polite food was very good. Continental breakfast was acceptable. If staying more than one night there is no room service so dishes had to be washed in the hand basin and dried with a bathroom towel.'

'While the Tiger Inn pub is nicely located by the village inn and the staff were very helpful, the room was over priced for what it was - a nice room in a pub. To describe it as 'luxury' is somewhat misleading in my view. The food was good but nothing special, so again, certainly didnt justify the 'luxury' reference'

'It's nice property stayed here before on arrival room wasn't cleaned it was left mess previous guest but it was sorted quickly when I rang up .it's hassle free not have collect key check in being code operated will stay here again '
