'The building and bar area are historic and beautiful. And have some of the best espresso martinis I’ve had! The apartment style is unique.. reminds me of a small NyC apartment. I only wish they had ice and water on all the floors. Having to go down from 8 to 2 was a little inconvenient. I might also prefer having a few extra towels… often double occupancy comes with 3-4 sets of everything not just 2 bath sheets and hand towels. The staff was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay. '

'What a great stay we had at The Cochrane House! Our hosts were accommodating and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We stayed at the Cochrane House after attending a couple of sporting events in Detroit. It was so nice to come back to a place that was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast arrived at our door the following morning. Coffee just as we like it and homemade biscuits. The sisters that own this home are terrific hosts. 'I was very impressed all around. Very charming historical location. Classy place. Grotto spa was relaxing. Staff was nice. Very few people around so the hotel had an exclusive feel to it. Not knowing where I was in Detroit when I booked it, everything was walkable for me. Maybe not for everyone but I even walked to and from the arena from my hotel in the cold. Great stay. '
