Not what we expected

We walked in and left within 5 minutes. This property is not suitable for 70 year old people due to a very narrow and high pitched staircase to the 2nd floor. The refrigerator door was dirty and dusty enough to be able to write on it. We researched several homes before selecting this due to the nice photos, however they are not representative of the actual property. Grounds were overgrown in front. Vacassa was very good and refunded our rental payment within two weeks.

Somewhat Disappointed

My children and I were excited for our visit to Boothbay Harbor, and this rental would be the perfect spot to stay. Based on the listing and recent reviews, we chose this cottage. Once we arrived, our first impression was it was so cute and perfectly located! After a few minutes, we discovered that the listing had incorrect information about air conditioning. In the listing...in three different spots...under "popular amenities," "essentials," and "amenities" it states air conditioning would be available. It was over 80 degrees upstairs in two bedrooms and extremely uncomfortable, plus downstairs was not much better. I reached out immediately to property management asking for more fans. They said there was nothing in agreement for them to help. I did send email, too, and got a response on our 4th day offering to check out the place. We were leaving the next day, so I didn't respond. Luckily, the temperatures outside dropped during our 2nd night so it got a bit more comfortable inside. I have used VRBO numerous times, and this is the first encounter of false information in a listing. Others should know before they rent. Other than that...the house was clean and perfectly located. We had fun in the area!

Awesome home away from home!!

Can’t say enough great things about this lovely home! So clean, fresh and bright! The downstairs bedroom and bathroom was perfect for my older dad. The location couldn’t have been better. We easily walked all around town and the town is so great! Very quiet and so many places to eat and shop! Will most definitely be back and may even stay in the Barn!!

Very nice house. Was clean, well stocked and check-in was a breeze. Great location being just a short stroll to town and very quiet neighborhood. Would stay here again.

Lovely October Visit

The location of this property is amazing!! The house was well stocked and had everything we needed! The backyard is adorable. I only deducted a star because (as previously mentioned in reviews) the couch covers could use a cleaning and under the couches/beds. We had to wash a few toys that rolled under there. But not the end of the world. Overall, I would recommend this house and stay here again!

Wedding in Boothbay Harbor

The property was just as we expected it upon arrival. Unfortunately for check-in, the key pad for the lock wasn’t working, however it was immediately corrected. The property was clean, felt “homey”, and was in excellent proximity to the walking bridge to town, a cute breakfast spot, and more! We had all the amenities we needed. I left a pair of shoes there that I would not want to loose, and the owner went above and beyond to partner with the management agency to get them back to me. This spoke volumes about the integrity of the process and this property. I would come back here again for certain.

Great location; enjoyed our short stay.

Very comfortable and charming, walkable to village and breakfast cafe, appreciated all the supplies. The amenities list includes "satellite or cable" but there was neither. No closet in main bedroom; no dresser in 2nd bedroom; living room area could use some floor or table lamps for reading.

Disappointing

Location is great but small for 7. Bedrooms are quite small (especially downstairs) but biggest issue was heat—no AC and poorly ventilated. It was hotter in the house than outside . Needs an outdoor table and at least an umbrella to provide some shade.

Great place. Suggest a window A/C in the main bedroom on the first floor. No air circulation with the corner windows. The ceiling fan is too high to provide any air flow. All else was great.

Adorable home and easy walk to downtown

Loved this property! We had 6 adults and had a great time. Living room- dining room- kitchen all open concept. Great for hanging out, cooking, watching movies. Easy walk to restaurants, footbridge and shops. We had a large SUV that took up the length of the driveway so not sure how to fit two cars. Easy check in and hosts were very responsive to questions. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Perfect place really close to town

From checkin to checkout the process was easy. The house was clean and spacious. We were really close to town and everything was walkable. We left wanting to book for next year. Everyone at Turnkey was super helpful and responsive. Can’t wait for next year

We had a plumbing issue the first day which resulting in not being able to use one of the bathrooms for almost two days of our seven day stay. Turnkey did not even bother to call to see if the problem was resolved. The representative who was sent to the house to handle the situation was rude and condescending. The house ill equipped for the six people staying there, with only minimal supplies (ie. 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towels, etc.) for the week. There were only 6 towels for the whole house for the week which prompted us to do laundry every day. Items that would be expected in a home in the area, such as a large pot or lobster pot, were no where to be found. Or experience with TurnKey was very negative and we would think twice before using a service which used them again.

Cute Home, Great Location!

Very convenient location, walking distance to restaurants/shops even with young kids. House was updated and comfortable, only surprise was a conflict in the listing regarding AC - there is no AC in the house, but lots of fans.
