Highland House à Sunday River

A quiet Bethel base for ski weekends and winter getaways, about 11 miles and 20 minutes from Sunday River`s South Ridge base. Highland House offers three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a full kitchen and a comfortable living room for unwinding after the slopes, plus downstairs bunk space. Enjoy dinner and board games together in a peaceful wooded setting. The pool and pool house are seasonal and closed during winter.

THE SPACE
This warm and welcoming home comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests. It features three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a spacious living room for gathering and relaxation. Two bedrooms offer queen size beds, and a third private room has a full bed. The downstairs common area includes three bunk beds—perfect for kids, teens, or extra guests that don`t mind sharing a space.

GUEST ACCESS
Guests have private access to the entire guest house, including its three bedrooms, kitchen, living area, two bathrooms and downstairs common space with bunk beds. Fresh linens, towels and kitchen essentials are provided.

The pool and pool house are seasonal, open June 10 through October 1, and are not available for winter stays. During the pool season, the pool and pool house may be shared with guests staying in the separate main house.

THE AREA
Highland House is approximately 11 road miles and a 20-minute drive from Sunday River`s South Ridge base, with Bethel`s restaurants and shops nearby by car.

For a change of pace, explore cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at Bethel Village Trails or Carter`s XC Ski Center. Trail access, rentals and activities depend on operating schedules and snow conditions.

GETTING AROUND

During the pool season, the pool and pool house are shared amenities for the two homes and may be used by another group.

There is a riding arena and working ranch on site, with vehicle traffic related to its operation.

PLEASE NOTE: The horse arena and pastures are off limits to guests and the road is used to access these areas of the property so that the horses can be tended to. The horses should not be approached, ever, and can be dangerous if approached. There is a noise monitor, no recording, in the living room and outside as unauthorized parties are not allowed.

This property is proudly managed by Everrow Property Management. Everrow provides 24 hour support to assist with issues ranging from maintenance to supply needs and access impediments.
Please no pets on the furniture. Do not leave any perishables out at the end of your stay. No smoking on the property. Please observe quiet hours from 10pm until 7am.

Guests with Children: While children are welcome in our home, please note that the property has not been childproofed. It may not be suitable for very young children or those requiring a child-safe environment. We ask parents to supervise their children closely and accept responsibility for their safety and wellbeing during their stay.

Late check out is not offered at this listing. Early check in is possible based on our reservation calendar and if we have guests leaving that morning.
