Great location - house needs some TLC
This was our first time staying in Caldera Springs. Usually we stay in Sunriver. We loved Caldera Springs. This house also came with passes to use all the amenities for free including the par 3 golf course, paddleboards/kayaks/canoes and of course the pool area. The house also had eight adult bikes. The house had a great floor plan and accommodated our group well. Due to a change in our summer plans, we rented this house only a few weeks before traveling. I assume due to that, we paid what I consider a premium price for this home. My problem is, if we are paying a premium price, I expect the house to be as close to perfect as a rental house can be. The kitchen floors were in really bad shape. That didn't affect the functionality, of course, but it was disappointing. We had to run the dishwasher cycle twice for each load of dishes - not because they weren't clean, but the the cycle would not complete after one go-around. It was similar to our own dishwasher so it wasn't user error. There was drywall damage in some areas and some of the carpets were dirty. Again, I just expected it to be in better condition for the amount of money we spent. This is the first review I have done on a property that includes anything negative. When the property management company sent us a check-out survey, I did tell them I would like to someone to contact me regarding some items of concern (which included the dishwasher). They never did :( I was just hoping to give them the information so that future travelers to this home wouldn't run into the same issues - I wasn't going to ask for any money back. We will definitely stay in Caldera Springs again, but would likely select a different cabin to rent.
