The history of the Hydro and the beautifully updated interiors were an unexpected bonus, also, the charming bar with spectacular views. The delicious breakfasts, again with stunning views left us disappointed we had other plans for dinner. The staff were all friendly and professional and our room was well furnished and immaculate. 'What a lovely traditional hotel decorated in a classic style that takes you back in time. You are welcomed, not only by lovely open fires, but also by the reception and bar staff! Very friendly and helpful. Our room had fabulous views of the mountains and we enjoyed beautiful sunsets and sunrises. 5 mins walk to the main street with a choice of restaurants and a few mins drive to the attractions and trails.
