'This 2 story rental villa has a great view of Volcan Arenal from the second story. It overlooks a farm with elephant grass used for grazing animals. The location is about 2 km south of the center of La Fortuna, so a car is necessary. It is close to several of the tour outfitters that do canyoneering and rafting. It is initially hard to see on your first visit (look for the Sapiens sign on Ruta 702) because the group of 3 houses are set 70 meters south of the road and accessed via a thin 1 lane...

'A fantastic little place right in town that is just tucked away from the road enough to feel like......it`s not just tucked away from the road! Clean, friendly and helpful staff and very spacious rooms. Wonderful second floor balcony for a rich coffee and an afternoon read.'

'If you are staying in La Fortuna, I cannot imagine a better option. We used it as a home base for all the usual activities in the area. For meals, we could cook right there (the Super Rosvil market is a short walk away) or we could go out to eat - there's Mario's place on the next corner for easy food, or an easy walk to downtown for lots of other options). 'I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Tangara Arenal. I booked the bungalow option, and it was a great choice. The bungalow was surrounded by plants and trees, with outdoor seating perfect for relaxing or reading while it rained—and when it rains, it pours! The metal roof made the sound of the rain noticeable, but I found it soothing, like white noise. We visited during the wet season and had the usual afternoon showers, but it never bothered us. 'Fantastische accommodatie. Het voelt aan als een intieme en persoonlijke plek. De tuinen zijn fantastisch mooi met erg veel prachtige bloemen en vogels. De service is super vriendelijk en attent. Ook bij het helpen met tours en advies over de omgeving. Absolute aanrader.'
