'While driving to the hotel, we thought we would end up by the containers in the harbour but a turn to the right brought us to this charming core painted one storey hotel. Lovely and friendly hosts - our room overlooking the yacht marina was fantastic as we had a balcony to enjoy the views. 'Great room with good modern decor, certainly a step up from the standard motel offering in NZ. Also loved the additional communal kitchen if you need more than the microwave in the room. Parking was a bit of a pain during the day because a lot of non-guests appear to use the car park and it's not policed.'
