« It was clean and lots of privacy. Nice size yard with nice outdoor furniture and fire ring. The sofa pull out bed has some bent metal bars and wouldn’t stay flat. Barn doors were a bit tricky keep close. Shower needs to be hand held. Lots of thorny sticker burs in yard. We had to work hard to remove them from shoes. The property manager and owner were helpful. When we told them we forgot something at the property, they helped collect the items and let us pick up. »

« Absolutely loved the Ten Bits. The location is very off the beaten path, and rain caused us a bit of a challenge getting in on day one, but our host was very understanding, helped us find a different place to stay for the night, and refunded us for one night no questions asked. After that we got to the Bank and spent the next 3 nights enjoying the area and the ranch. I highly recommend the property and plan to stay again in the future! »

« Very clean & comfortable. Loved that there is a Keurig & coffee pods provided. So nice to have a fridge in the room. The cooking accommodations were very helpful, but it was hard to get in there to cook. There was a large group there at mealtimes. I would recommend that you drive in with a pickup truck or a jeep. The porch rockers were a hit. I highly recommend the Ten Bits Ranch accommodations. »

« We had a great stay at Ten Bits Ranch. This was our home base for three days as we hiked in Big Bend. The room was clean, comfortable and exactly as described. The views from the porch and the fire pit were incredible. We enjoyed hiking to the apache cave across the street and the views from the cave were impressive. Ten Bits was very quiet. Check in and out was very easy. We would not hesitate to stay here again the next time we visit Big Bend. »

« As soon as we arrived we knew this was going to be an awesome place to stay! We drove over 10hrs to this place and we were highly impressed with the cleanliness and accommodations!!! This is by far an excellent place to stay!!! We highly recommend this if you are a star gazer… and if not it is so awesome to still see the stars at night compared to what we our used to from the big city of Houston!!! This was a very awesome experience and the host was beyond excellent with communications!!! »

13. Organic Earthen Desert Dome For Two -Sustainable Stay Under the Stars Terlingua

« Property was beautiful, and so was the surrounding area. Porta potty closest to our dome was not remotely clean at all, but the one 20 feet away from it was so it was no big deal. The first night was great, (other than getting bitten up) and then we woke up and made breakfast and left for our hike. When we got back to the dome, i attempted to make dinner and realized the area surrounding our food bags was being infested with ants that were getting through the cracks where the wall met the floor....

« We had the greatest time! The place looks straight out of the western era and the views are incredible! It’s super close to Big Bend. If you want to go see stars is the perfect place, always double check the weather because we did get some clouds and rain on the second day. Overall, it was a great place! The only thing that I would recommend is that the porch light to be red light, when we were stargazing some people had their porch light on and it affected visibility. »
