'Plastic bags cover hotel signs, paint cans and debris in main hallway near the elevator, carpet in the elevator torn, hallways dimly lit, room had large cracks in the ceiling and walls that were simply patched over, bathroom appeared to be OK. Overall not 8/10 or 10/10 as the reviews suggest.'

'The staff at the front desk was meh. Housekeeping was great! Rooms are beautiful and very clean. 1878 restaurant was so bad. Do not eat there! Ugh. We gave it 2 tries and each time was a bad experience. The staff was okay, waitresses but the food…yuck. The pool and staff were great! The ground were clean the gift was okay, but a snide young lady working there that acted like it was inconvenient to helps us. Otherwise, we thought it was great! '

'Great value. Clean, comfy beds, helpful amenities including a fridge in the room, adjoining rooms, nice variety at breakfast. Pool was a little cold but my niece loved it. Hot tub was huge. Small but very functional gym. Quick drive to lots of outdoor spaces including Lapham Peak. Walkable to tons of shops and little fast casual restaurants including ice cream and Starbucks. Easy off/on to highway and convenient to everything we were doing in Delafield and Waukesha. We have family in the area...
